Big thank you, Joel.  I slept in a bit and missed it also.  But all the "deleted user" posts kinda shocked me.  Nothing in my inbox, though...guess I didn't rate...

So it's not misunderstood, Jaime meant that Joel (BIG Joel, the administrator and HER boss) FIXED the problem, not that Joel the PITA caused the problem.

 
There's a more powerful person here than Jamie?  If Jamie's signature trumpets her entrance into a thread, then I would like to see Joel's.

I saw some of it Sunday night.  It was a repeat from around Finals time.  Anyway-the bunch of us were watching it- my mother, one sister and her 7 year old daughter, other sister's boyfriend, hubby, me.  My other sister came in and wasn't really paying attention.  As soon as her 8 year old daughter came in, we hear, "Oh, this is something (insert that niece's name) shouldn't be seeing" and the channel got changed.  Don't ask!  LOL

Joel you get a standing ovation - I couldn't find his address fast enough this morning (I found the messiest one about 6:30 a.m.) -- when Angel says this young man was VERY disturbed she means it -- my concern was that I didn't want Gina's kids to see it.  No one needs to carry that crap around in their mind.  "Troll" doesn't even begin to describe this idiot.
 
It took me til I got to work to find Amstaffy's.  (My husband had a flat - but he drives a Mini and they had to ORDER the darned tire so we've been on one car since Thursday ... *sigh*) and as it was he threatened to drag me out by my fingernails this morning. 
 
folks -- flatly you don't have a CLUE how good Joel, Jaime and Gina (and Glenda) are.  I moderate a very SMALL board (and have for many years) -- it's a completely thankless task.  cos you GOTTA keep up with all that's going on all the time -- you have to learn to look at stuff almost from a jaded point of view -- I knew before I tried to open the threads this morning they were 'trouble'.  And frankly just taking the time to delete a ton of crap like that is exhausting.  Trying to catch even 'spam' before it hits and does damage is no small task. 
 
So, over the next couple of weeks, let's cut Joel a break -- recommend Dog.com to as many 'extra' people as you can.  It's a nice place to mail order from.  It's what pays for the webspace!!

Gee, I missed all the fun! I saw the, "Hello, I am Mrs..." threads all over the place. ACK!

I'm not as frequent or thorough of a user as a lot of other members, but I did notice several "deleted user" notations tonight, including one on the special thread Lori created for Tonka.  I'm glad I didn't see the original posts -- they sound disturbing, and it would've upset me greatly if I saw Tonka's thread tainted by one (not to mention my own preference to avoid having things like that assault my eyes).
 
Thank you to all the moderators - I can't imagine the work it takes to stay on top of all the people and posts on this forum.  You deserve a standing ovation! [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]

Yep- that's it- too violent.  I was floored the next morning when the girls wanted to watch Air Buddies, and I offered to put one of my Lassie dvds in for them instead (Air Buddies was already packed in both cars).  Same niece said, "I'm not allowed to watch Lassie.  Mommy doesn't like the way people act on it."  Yet- the same sister was so thrilled when we said we wanted to buy Air Buddies for her daughter (they have a 4 1/2 month old Golden puppy).  I had to walk into the diningroom just "get away".  Hubby & other sister started laughing, cause I walked in and started  this [sm=banghead002.gif] against the door frame.
