    Weight Watchers

I joined Weight Watchers last week and have been doing really good with my points . . .  until a moment ago. A co-worker brought me over a piece of lemon cake with cream cheese frosting and I ate it. I didn't think I would feel guilty, but I do and it feels horrible. I've never wanted to feel guilty about eating something and here I am, feeling guilty. And my 2nd meeting is tomorrow!

I have no idea how many points that slice was, but dang it! It wasn't worth it. I had just had a very filling chicken salad and was completely satisfied. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it now.

Has anyone else done WW before or currently? I would like to lose 35-40 lbs.

My MIL did it and lost a ton.  Also said it was the easiest diet she ever did.  Dont feel guilty about the cake.  You wanted it and made the decision to eat it... and its already done... so enjoy it.  Just learn from it and next time have a bite or two and then get rid of it.  Its a big thing to learn moderation and that its okay to throw things away or give them away.

I wish you luck with your diet!!  The one thing I have to say though is when you do splurge... you gotta enjoy it.  Your not gonna stick with a diet that leaves you feeling guilty.  Just have fun when you do and then be good for a while.  You can do it!  [:)][:)]

I did it a few yrs. ago and lost 30... since then, about 4 yrs. ago, I have gained back about 10, but I eat whatever... although some things I just stay away from after knowing how many points they are, it isn't worth it.

Check out this web site... IT IS AWESOME!  It will tell you points at many many restaurants (I think you need to scroll down a bit for the restaurants link) and also recipes, etc.  It is constantly updated.  [linkhttp://www.dwlz.com]www.dwlz.com[/link]. It stands for Dottie's Weight Loss Zone.  I am currently just starting to watch what I am eating again and may start tracking points next week.  Definitely journal... it helps a lot!  If you feel guilty... go for an extra long walk tonight :).

When dieting if you have a craving for something, it is better that you have a small portion, or you will try to have something in it's place and you end up eating more. I did WW and did very well. I would once in a while give in and have something I shouldn't. I would just not use my extra points at the end of the week. Or I would walk longer. Don't feel guilty. You can not completly deprive yourself.

    O.K. I actually feel better. [:)]

Tomorrow is my second weigh in so I'll probably be posting again tomorrow to tell you how I did. I don't expect to lose it fast, but I really hope I didn't gain anything. We'll see. My mom did this before and did very well also.

I've done it in the past more than once.  It does work and is a very healthy way to lose.  Good luck!

I did it a few years ago and lost 20+ pounds.  I have gained some of it back but am in a much better place then when I started.  I still pay attention to food and think of it in terms of points.  I always splurged on the weekends and after my weigh ins.  On the weekends I tried to make smarter choices, but I did eat more points than I was allotted.  This diet worked GREAT for me and anytime I need to lose some weight, I just start tracking my points again.  I always make sure to load my plate up with zero point food that I can eat as much as I want of.  That would be why we have a veggie wiht every meal I cook!  When I want seconds, that is what I go for!

My friend and I used to get weighed and go for coffee after.  That was our cheat day because we almost always had more than just coffee.
