When did you take that second picture? I hadnt seen it before but it is SO lovely!! I love the apples in the background.

I got upset when I found the pictures too. It made me sad to think of what your poor boy went through and how scared he looked. Poor guy..

Trust me you made a HUGE difference in his life. He is very lucky to have found you as are you that you found him :)

I took that the fall after I got him.  We have 4 HUGE apple trees in the yard.  I may have posted it a while ago but I don't remember.
I'm sure I made a huge difference in his life, um, he's alive for starters.  Right now he's all snuggled on DH's pillows.  He looks so peaceful.  I'm sure he wasn't too peaceful in the shelter.  Nor did he have soft pillows to park his butt.  DH hates when he sleeps on his pillows.  I invite him up on the bed & giggle as he does his 3 turns before he settles down right on the pillows.  I'm bad. ~L~  I'd get a picture but the minute I think about moving he'd wake up.

Trish,  isn't it amazing how you think you're doing a good thing for someone else & it ends up being a good thing for you too?

All I can say is that this picture does not reflect your pride in Anne. It Reflects Anne's pride IN YOU! This is great! This brings an amount of happy tear to my eye. Thank you!

I almost can't bear to think of Grady so sad and forlorn - he could star in that Pedigree commercial in that photo.

The transformation - the impact of belonging - was clear and immediate.  It's miraculous, really, how that act of rescue is transformative for both of you.  The bond between master and rescue may not be deeper than that with pets who come into our lives by other means, but there is a poignancy that is SO impactful.

I know exactly how you feel....here's what our rescue girl, Belle,  looked like before and not long after we got her and loved her.  She can be a real pain in the butt sometimes, but she's really sweet most of the time.  She loves to snuggle too.
