Introducing Flapjack!

Thanks all for your kind words [:D].  Flapjack had his first vet visit today and got a pretty clean bill of health.  The vet thinks he is about 14.  The vet says: good heart, good lungs, good skin, good weight, horrible teeth.  He got the green light to go in for neutering tomorrow, and they will give him a dental while he is out.
His lick granuloma is healing nicely......and perhaps the best thing of all (at least for me!), he only marked ONE time inside today, and actually asked to go out several times!!  WooHoo!  Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks??

I would never say that!!!  :D  Thank you for taking in such an old fella.  There's a 7 1/2 year old dog at the shelter now that has been there for a couple months.  I feel so bad for the poor guy.  People just amaze me....

I'm so happy for Flapjack!  What a happy day for him.  He looks sweet.

He is a handsome old guy and already looks so content and comfortable!  I add my voice to the chorus saying "thank you" and "bless you" for your kindness to him!

Flapjack is a cutey! Sandy thought so too, and I told her it was her hormones talking....he's old enough to be her grandsire, lmao! But she insisted you kiss him politely on the cheek from her anyways [;)]

Thanks for doing a really really fine thing despite the marking. Old dogs need homes. Especially old dogs who have had hard lives. Give him a good last few years.

Oh, what a sweet, sweet face!  What a wonderful person you are for seeing that Flapjack gets a loving and caring home and family in his twilight years.  Give him a hug from me, and I hope he has lots of happy days ahead with you!
