Just back from the WMA.  Sky is beat.  A little warm, deep grass.  He is a good dog right now.

Saw this on our way back:

My wife got out to take a photo and spooked them.  They stopped at the wood  line, and are probably enjoying the beans right now. This is just outside the WMA, but has great shelter, great water, and plenty of food.  There may have been another doe in the woods.  Triplets are rare.

Wow, Doug, your pictures are really amazing.

Fantastic photos, Doug!  What an amazing sight that must have been!

Jackie, I hope you got your eggs at the market.

Julie, I hope the water training went well.

Kate, if your weeds are anything like mine, just when you think you've cleared an area of all weeds, you turn to do another section, and when you look back at that first patch, you find weeds have appeared again!  Tongue Tied

Mellow day today.  Started with a long walk with Ruby and my friend (we saw a deer in someone's yard - no fawns with it.  Ruby spotted it, but it ducked into the woods before we got closer).  Did some laundry and ironing, ran some errands, made a few phone calls, balanced the checkbook. Pretty exciting stuff.

Tonight the first episode of the new TV series, "Outlander," is on.  I read the first book years ago, but never read the sequels.  I remember feeling conflicted about the book:  not being able to put it down, but being a little annoyed by some aspects of it feeling too "Harlequin Romance -like."  But, both DH and I love anything about Scotland, and that's where it's set, so we'll record the episode and see what it's like.

Nice photos! I love it when you all add photos to this thread. It adds so much :)

This weekends conference was great! For those not on fb I will share an amusing story. We had a source off the end of a dock. The point was that the dock was "floating"  and it moved as the dogs walked on it which can be a challenge for some dogs. Add to the floating part there was also many birds ducks swans and people milling about. Well there was a little Swan family hanging out about 10 ft from the dock when abbie went to work the problem. I was hoping she would ignore the swans but no such luck. When she got near the swans she jumped off the dock and started swimming towards the Swan family. Well, the Poppa Swan was having none of it. He saw right at abbie head on, hissing and flapping his wings. Abbie turned around so Flipping fast I died laughing. Her eyes were like saucers and she high tailed it back to the dock then put her paws up and hung on for dear life looking like the devil was after hear lol! We pulled her out and she got back to work. I loved it because abbie has a critter problem. She loves to chase critters and I am always trying to set up problems where I can proof her off them (as well as working on her leave it command). Well this Swan did all my work for me. I hope that experience sticks with her haha.

Julie, Abbie's "swan encounter" must have been hilarious to watch.  I can just imagine the look on her face when she returned to the dock!  I can also imagine what that Poppa Swan must have looked like, and I'm sure I would've turned into an Olympic swimmer, just like Abbie did!

Where did the weekend go?  I feel like I didn't accomplish much of anything useful.  Today I read an entire Oprah magazine while sitting in the shade.  I kept thinking I'd put it away and do something productive in the yard or in the house, but I couldn't get motivated.  Now it's time to settle down for the night . . . I'd rather not think about it being Monday again tomorrow!
