Yea!  Internet Explorer decided to work today, which means I can make paragraphs!  I can't believe how mild our weather has been for August.  Usually August is just about the most miserable month of the year, but some of the nights have actually been borderline chilly.

The local county fair opens Wednesday so one day during the five day run, I'm going to go with my neighbor.  We hit two fairs a year - Dixon in May and Woodland in August and I am so looking forward to the usual fair dinner ... jumbo corn dog and a funnel cake.  Good thing it only happens twice a year.

Does anyone shop at TJMaxx?  It seems we're getting one this coming fall, but I don't think I've ever been in one.

I sure do and of all the stores like that (Ross, Marshalls, etc.), I like their home goods section the best. As a matter of fact, Home Goods is part of TJ Maxx and that's one store I can spend a lot of time in. I do find that TJ Maxx's shoes and purses are pricey but that's because they carry designer brands.

Have fun at the Woodland County Fair!! I LOVE a good corn dog and now I'm hungry for one.

I try to pretty much only shop at TJMaxx, Marshall's and HomeGoods - throw in a bit of Target and a lot of Costco and that's the end of my shopping LOL

Broke away from the guests - I have my clothing planned for the morning and am feeling pretty excited now.I am anxious to find out what my job is going to be

Good news: BLT for dinner. BrandtwineXBig Boy cross weighing 15oz. One slice filled the sandwich. Solid meaty red delicious and more to come.

Bad news: Some days I should not be allowed near tools. King Midas had a golden touch, today mine seemed to produce barnyard waste. And my beer is all warm.

Just a few posts in and you are all making me hungry!

Good thoughts for Karen today as she launches her new adventure.

The Great Minnesota Get Together, aka the State Fair, is something I try to avoid. If it were smaller I might go but I find it all very expensive, hot and crowded. The various food-on-a-stick almost makes it worthwhile - but that is just almost.

Monroe and Morrison are going to be spoiled today with a park romp with DH this morning, one with dog walker during the day and who know what will happen this evening. It's so good to not feel guilty about their exercise, now I just have to find their nail trimmer.

Little Man had a slightly better day yesterday and I'm hopeful for today. I did get a letter that all the teachers are shifting around so that will be hard, again.

Must go find coffee #2 for the morning.

Obviously, not enough coffee this morning. This post should have been on the Wed-nes-day thread.
