Go for oblivion Jackie  . . . . . trust me on this.

Ok, I'll go for oblivion since it is national tequila day, according to my very reliable source, but where is that drink of the day?  What's the use in posting if you can't do this one simple thing?  Don't anyone say national tequila day was already celebrated.  I celebrate it whenever the voices tell me.

Deb, in your absence, our livers took a vaca Stick out tongue

I'm so sick of allergies.  I've been a sniffling, itchy eye, stuffed up mess for the last 3 WEEKS!  I haven't had allergies this bad since I was a kid.  Enough is enough.  Please and thank you.  The only thing I can safely take is regular benedryl, all other allergy meds I seem to react badly too (and Benedryl tends to make my brain a bit foggy, so I really only take it at night if my allergies are bad, though once or twice I had to take it at work).

The new part time office gal we have is working out well thus far.  This makes me very happy!  The big test is she can put together binders (for our employee training manuals).  No joke, the last two office assistants we had could not handle copying double sided or making binders just like the master copy we have - despite me showing them at least twice.  She's also got a great sense of humor, so she fits in well with me and my boss.

Ok, some random dude just took his shirt off in the parking lot, and WOWZA does he have some muscles.  I gotta stop drooling and get back to work now.

Always go with the voices, especially if they're telling you it's national tequila day.

    Here's a recipe for you!

Deb - we've missed you and not just because of the drinks you post. I hope all is okay.

For your chuckle for the afternoon -

Subject: Birth is beautiful It was late at night and Heidi, who was expecting her second child, was home alone with her 3 year old daughter, Katelyn. Heidi started to go into labor and called 911.

Due to a power outage at the time, only one paramedic was able to respond to the call.

The house was very, very dark, so the paramedic asked Katelyn to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.

Very diligently, Katelyn did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed, and after a little while Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his feet, and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Katelyn for her help, and asked the wide-eyed 3 year old Katelyn what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Katelyn quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place. Spank him again."

Sharon, that drink looks delicious.  You may have a new job around here. :)  Hope the part time gal can figure out those binders.  I've had office help like that. Tongue Tied

Cathy, that joke is hilarious.  I'll be sending that one around.

Not sure what that drink would taste like, but it's truly an amazing color. Anyone who has ever sat in the patio of a Mexican restaurant late in the day and watched the setting sun shine through a Tequila Sunrise will recognize that color. Smile

I thought it was so very gracious of William and Kate to actually come out through the front door of the hospital with their baby and greet the crowds.  Anyone else garnering that much media attention would surely have crept out the back way.

Our weather is holding.  At least on the latest 7 day forecast, we're going to stay in double digits.  Yea!!

Hi everyone!  I made it to CT safe and sound.  Flights weren't too bad.  The longest one (Portland to Cleveland) had the plus of an empty middle seat in my row, so that was more comfy.  My nerves over-rode the "chemical assistance" I took after we boarded, so despite my earplugs and eye mask, I only slept on and off until we landed at 6AM.  The leg from Cleveland to Hartford was only an hour, but it was a small jet -- only 48 seats.  Quite loud and bumpy, but getting on and off was faster!

Already put down two huge meals, and I've only been here 12 hours.  First we had lunch at the country club in my hometown with some old family friends.  Hadn't been there since high school prom days.  Lovely outdoor setting, delicious chicken salad.  My sister came into town in time for dinner at one of our favorite Italian places with my aunt and uncle.  Just rolled home from that and are going to continue the wine and chatting on the patio.  I'm wiped out, but I'm sure we'll be up very late (wine tends to make my sister even chattier than she is normally!).

Deb, I've been wondering where you've been and hoped all was well.  I heard the song "Madness" by Muse the other day -- it always makes me think of you ever since you said you liked it (not because I think you're mad!).  Not being on Facebook, I assumed I missed news you were on vacation.  I'm sorry you had some medical issues -- glad to see you back and sending you good health vibes!

I treated myself to a new pair of earrings and a watch from our friends' jewelry store today.  They give us a huge discount, and my 15 year old watch died months ago.  The earrings are silver and kind of a funky twisted shape -- a bit more daring than I usually wear.  I couldn't decide between 2 pairs, so my Mom bought me the other pair as my Christmas present.  Saves her the trouble mailing anything to Oregon in December.

More updates of too much eating will sure to follow as my week progresses!!!

Tracy!!! I was so hoping we'd hear from you. I'm glad you made it safe and sound. If it makes you feel any better, I love flying but I still can't get much sleep on a plane. I hope you enjoy every minute and every bite of food while you're there.
