Taco Tuesday Chat

This last interview last nearly 2 1/2 hours.  I think it went well.  I'm one of three finalists.  As I expected, my experience doesn't really line up with the job, but apparently I've wowed them enough to make it to the top three.  So, not sure.  I did get taken out for lunch which was unexpected.  They did promise this was the last interview though and they're expected to make a decision end of this week or early next week.  I'll send off my final thank you letters tonight and then just wait and see.

good job Sharon! That speaks a lot of you that you made it that far, if your skills don't totally line up. I hope you get it!!!

Well done Sharon - regardless of the outcome, you clearly did a great job!

A couple of weeks back I said I took some pictures of a family because one member was very ill with cancer. She passed away over the weekend and the funeral was today. They have contacted me several times to thank me and my neighbor who asked me to take the photos said many were prominently displayed and they had a digital photo album playing with them on it. I feel very pleased to have helped

We once again have a blip of sunshine now and then after HEAVY storms earlier today - I just went for a short walk to feel a little sun!

Wow Sharon - that's a long interview. I'm glad you got lunch too. Regardless of what happens, I hope this has helped build your confidence.

Karen - that is such a nice thing that you did for that family and I know it must make you feel really good.

I was swamped when I got here but have made a huge dent in the piles. I feel like I've run out of steam though and could really use a nap.

Sharon, great job on the interviews. And, thank you notess go a long way when I hire. If I can't decide between/among finalists, the one who writes a thank you will likely get the job.

Karen, I'm so glad you were able to help with the photos.

Mr. Sinbad is back to himself for two days now--thank goodness! I never knew how much I liked having him "help" until he wasn't "helping"!  I think he over-did it on Sunday and decided he needed to rest. He's smart; I'm not!

Sun here and finally warm! We need some rain, which I think we'll get tomorrow (fingers crossed). More gardening this coming weekend!

I couldn't believe how hard it rained last night.  I had  the windows open because it really wasn't cold at all, and when it started it sounded like a train was running through the yard. I'm sure the chair cushions will dry out and I hadn't put the towels or solar lights out yet, so maybe I can get that done over the weekend.  Right now it looks like it's about to start pouring again.

I'm going to a book signing (John Lescroart) with a neighbor tonight, so that should  be fun.  They always have good munchies and it's fun to buy the book and get it autographed.

Cathy, if your're not thrilled with the new makeup, try Almay Smartshade.  It's really light and blends to match your skin. All you have to know is whether you need light, medium or dark.

Sharon, that was one long interview!  Fingers crossed for you.  :)

I'm glad Mr Sinbad is feeling better and ready to help you again.  Sending rain vibes to you if you'll send us some back. :)

We got over the first major step in this work project that's had me stressed and worried.  I should feel so much better and able to relax about it for a while.  For some reason my grouchy mood wants to kill my buzz.  I think I should go outside and play with the dogs and water my flowers.

Cathy, have some chocolate.  Just for the caffeine, you know. Wink

I agree!  Everyone I've met with thus far has received a formal thank you.  I have my final thank you letters ready for the mail tomorrow morning.  I'm glad all the interviewing is done.  It was a long interview, but far more relaxed.  Basically I got the impression they were trying to see me in a more natural state and whether I remain professional, etc.
