Fortunately, if you put a towel out, he'll lift his paw for you. Big Smile

Awww that's so cute!  Hot loves to be wiped down with a towel, if I could only get him to like the shower part cause he loves the towel dry and the brushing :)

Cathy I need your recipe for split pea soup.  It's not something I have ever made and I have only eaten it out of a Campbell Soup Can.  I think my hubby would like it.

Good boy Shane!! Bugsy does the same, with a big "aw Mom!" attitude though LOL

Tracy, Bugsy is NOT calm but for some reason *cough* everyone finds his antics humorous. He literally is up every dog's butt, tries to drink your beer, kisses any human foolish enough to get close, roots around the sample tables because they are under his chin Confused, nearly took a pop-up tent down when he got wrapped around the pole (he was supposed to be doing some nosework), he gives this horrified look when another dog poops, sniffs all the kiddie pools to see if they are acceptable to stand in, etc.  As a human that is fairly introverted any social event in which I have him on the end of my arm is part nightmare part sitcom. Embarrassed  Admittedly the people that frequent this sort of event tend to be laid back and love dogs, so it tends to be all OK

I came home today to a very grumpy DH. He is so intolerant of what to me is normal stupidity at work, I sure wish he'd get over it.

I can see now that it's going to be a challenge keeping my carpets clean this winter. Shane has very furry footpads and we'll need to wipe those off whenever he comes in.

I used to trim Shari's down. She was part Samoyed, so there was a ton of hair between her toes that grew like crazy. Maybe you can do with with Shane's.

Yep, I've been doing that since we brought him home. The hair is so crazy long and thick that if I don't, it's like he's got a pair of slippers on :). I had a Samoyed and I don't remember her toe hair being anything like Shane's.

Karen - Bring Bugsy and come here until DH feels better.

This is the split pea soup recipe I use. Since I do it in the crockpot, I don't use the butter. I do use chicken or vegetable broth for at least 1/2 of the water but you don't have to. I also add some garlic and this time I used some leeks. It smells wonderful and DH will be happy about the huge, meaty ham bone I used. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Easy-Split-Pea-Soup-1919
