He honestly looked a little terrified.

He might be smart to be a little wary of them.  More than one person has told me that the males can be really aggressive. I have a friend one street over who lives in a 2 story house that backs right up to the park at the end of the street.  She told me they go up in the trees at night and then jump down on her roof.  They're pretty big birds and when they land, they make a loud "clomp" sound.  That would just drive me bonkers at night.

Must be the season of limpy dogs. Jules went in on Thursday after he went three legged earlier this week. He apparently wrenched a very arthritic elbow. It appears on xray that he has a bone spur.  We started him on joint supplements and he's been getting anti inflammatories. Last night he went back to four legs (though limping). Today he's limping a bit less and consistently using that leg. Thank heavens...although I think the other dogs enjoyed a few days without the fun police. He's still self restricting, which is good.

In non dog news, Clive went to the fair for the first time yesterday. He thought cows were pretty cool.

Some people I work with can be complete idiots sometimes. For example, a note written earlier this week stated that a timer was broken. The second person noted that it was still broken the next day. I went in today and took a look at the timer. I opened the back, popped the battery out, and popped it back in. Like magic, the timer worked. I guess we can't all be geniuses.
