Here's something political that might make people laugh at Texas politics since mostly we want to cry about them.  Seems if we can't decide who won in a runoff or two we can just have the candidates roll the dice.Stick out tongue  http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/roll-dice-decides-city-council-election-texas/story?id=16558417

Wow. I don't think I could come up with a better way to tell the people their vote doesn't count. Then again, if the town actually has 10000, and only 222 showed up to vote, I guess most people just didn't care anyway.

    Excellent points!!

It's not too bad with the political stuff here but I'm sure it'll get worse. We're definitely not one of the states either politician is going to spend much time or money on. My friend that lives in Florida says they're being bombarded by it all.

A lot of people become apathetic about politics and choose not to vote.  It does get discouraging the older you get and the more you see but as they say, it's not a perfect system but it's the one we've got and the one we created. :)

A transformer blew in my neighborhood, and we're waiting for a potential power outage. I never saw so many fire trucks. When I first went over there, some of the neighborhood kids said it was  a bomb in a basement. Luke thought the whole situation was great. He met a police officer and one of the fire policemen came over to say hi to him. I hope the power stays on. I need my alarm clock tomorrow morning.
