Sarah, I'm glad you're getting to spend time with your mom and I hope her passing is peaceful and painless for her. I know it won't be painless for you.

Barb, good luck with  the new job.  It sounds like you've earned a bit of peace.

New fridge comes on Thursday.  I hope they can squeeze it in.  It's about 1-3/4" wider than the one I have now, but it looks like there's at least that much wiggle room. It absolutely has to fit in that space because as much as I'd like to, I'm not going to remodel the kitchen just to make it fit.

We bought a new fridge today, and it's also coming on Thursday. Ours is actually narrower than the old one, but taller. We did do a bit of remodeling to make it fit. We took out the cabinet above the fridge. You can't use it anyway because you have to get a step ladder to get into it, or climb on the counter.  We looked Sears the other day, then my dad said to look at the scratch and dent place. We went back to Sears and bought it there though. They had them 25% off, waived the delivery and removal charge, my mom  got the Sears card, and we got the reward points, so it was a better price. Our old one, if you took out the bottom drawer, the bottom shelf collapsed.
