Glad to hear Twister is feeling better! Continued good vibes from here.

We didn't get the rain we were supposed to get yesterday, but it is humid. Yuck.

Not much else from here. I'm ready to head to the Tiki Bar now.

Paige, I'm so sorry you've had such a terrible week.  Sending good thoughts and vibes to you, as well as to everyone in Mayday's circle.

Despite it being an amazing experience to swim with sharks and barracudas in Belize, I'd be the one staying on shore or in the boat, keeping an eye on everyone's stuff while they were in the water with the sharped-teethed critters!  I'm sure the photos are incredible.  Our neighbors dive all over the world, and I've seen some of their photos.  Gorgeous colors.  Sounds like everyone's having a great time !

Tina, I bet you're looking forward to having your place to yourself again.  My mother's friend has been living with her for a few months while waiting to relocate for a new job.  My Mom lives in a small 2-bedroom apartment and has lived alone for 20+ years.  Her friend is leaving next week, and my Mom is so excited.  Things went well for a while, but over time a few issues came up about respecting personal space and routines, how groceries and other expenses were "shared" (or not), etc.

Not much on tap for the weekend other than to finish painting our bedroom and dinner with friends Saturday night.  Weather is supposed to be nice, so I'll get out for a walk or two.

I'm bugging out of the office early. Twister and I need a nap. :)

    Run free Mayday.

Hey, Tina.  Thanks for being there for me the other night when I got the news about Twister.  I probably didn't thank you for your shoulder to cry on and your support.  Most people would think we were nuts if they heard us laughing but you know me well enough to know that it's the best way to help me cope sometimes.

Jackie, I know you'd do the same for me.

Have a good weekend everyone! See ya' Tuesday.

Hey everybody!  Stopping by to give everybody a hearty ***WAVE***.  Big Smile

I've been living and breathing work as well as healing from my torn tendon surgery;and  of course FB.

The Hooligans are doing well...mischievious as ever; but total love bugs.

(((Paige)))  I'm so sorry to hear about Gracie and the other dogs...you have had a tough week.

Jackie, I'm hoping Twister gets through this without a hitch and catching it early makes all the difference.

I had my surgery on June 27th to repair a torn perrienal tendon in my left foot.  Oh my goodness, this has been quite the ordeal.   I had been dealing with pain in my foot since December.  Embarrassed  Finally, went to see a Podiatrist who immediately put me in my "super cute boot" and sent me for an MRI which confirmed a torn tendon.  We tried the conservative route hoping it would heal itself (big laugh).  So, wore the boot for 6 weeks.  Then the doctor told me it wasn't going to heal on its own, so did the surgery.  Its been a month, and still not allowed to walk or bear any weight on the foot.  I'm toodling around on a knee walker and thank goodness I have that...there is no way I could use crutches for this amount of time.

Rick is doing EVERYTHING!  Man oh man...what a trooper he is.  He's told me a couple of times: "I don't know how you do it all."  Smile  He's doing his job, and everything house related, pet related and MIL related.  I told our daughter how he keep saying that...and she said its good for him.  "Respect the Ma."  LOL

Anyway, I see the doc again next Thursday, and I'm hoping I can start at least bearing weight with the boot.  I know for sure that I'll be in the boot for another 6 -8 weeks.  I'm doing physical therapy twice a week with electro stim.  And, I think they will start having me do some band exercises soon to start building the foot up.  The PT said something about a wobble board...that sounds scary.

Barb, I sure hope you get the word that you can start bearing some weight on that foot.  What a long, long ordeal. Sad Yay for Rick taking over while you're out of commission. These husbands can be pretty good sometimes. :)   It's nice to see you here again.  I check into FB but sometimes it's so random that I miss some of my favorite people's updates.  I spend much more time here in my home away from home. lol

We're going out to eat.  I don't really feel like going but DH is right that I need to get out and relax and enjoy myself. A margarita never hurts. I got Twister's path report back today and though I didn't show it on the outside at the vets or back at the office, it hit me pretty hard.

We've got no plans for the weekend.  I need to clean the house because last weekend was too busy to get much done.  The dust is pretty thick and the carpet looks like someone with four dogs and a broken vacuum lives here.

Hugs for Barb, Paige & Jackie. Btw mr. Jackie is right, go have a meal & a drink. Wish I was closer

    Julie that is so awesome!!

We stayed in tonight and I have been shopping for stuff for the wedding in Cancun. I hate shopping and the cost of this trip is immense which makes me angry. I believe this month we'll be looking to keep expenses down!

I did finally hear about that contract and will have a phone interview Monday or Tuesday. Ever feel like you are knowingly walking into a mess? Bu the $ is good so ......

4-6 weeks ago there were a few thefts in the neighborhood, first ones since we moved here, all stuff was taken from unlocked cars. Then shortly after someone's house was broken into. In response to this DH installed a sensor on a tree near our garage, it chimes when someone/thing crosses the sensor. Bugsy quickly realized the chime means someone is arriving. Currently DH is mowing and it chimes as he crosses it, sigh. B is laid out on the kitchen floor and the first 4-5 times it went off he popped up. Now he just grumbles as if its a nuisance, which it is!

    We're going out to eat.

Me too!  Any excuse to go out to eat. Big Smile And FWIW, my carpet is pretty much like yours ... except my vacuum isn't broken, it just has a full canister.  We're going to someplace called "Swabbies on the River" which mercifully does not involve getting on I-80 in Friday afternoon traffic.  We'll take I-5 south to the airport, which should be much lighter as far as traffic goes.

{{{Paige}}} You're so right.  Cancer does suck, big time - whether it's animals or people.

Barb, glad to see you back.  Its been awhile.

My vac isn't broken either but you couldn't tell that by looking at my carpet.  lol

Karen, hope the interview goes well next week and yeah, money being good is often what makes the decisions unfortunately.  You'll be great for them if it all comes together.

Our dinner started out pretty bad as we got into an argument on the way to the restaraunt over a stupid thoughtless remark he made.  It took most of the meal and two drinks for me to feel like even talking to him.  sigh  Can I get a do over for this past week?

Julie, did I say how absolutely cool it is that you got to go diving and interact with the dolphins?  Wild, freakin' dolphins!!  OMG, that is so incredible. :)
