Hey everybody! Stopping by to give everybody a hearty ***WAVE***.
I've been living and breathing work as well as healing from my torn tendon surgery;and of course FB.
The Hooligans are doing well...mischievious as ever; but total love bugs.
(((Paige))) I'm so sorry to hear about Gracie and the other dogs...you have had a tough week.
Jackie, I'm hoping Twister gets through this without a hitch and catching it early makes all the difference.
I had my surgery on June 27th to repair a torn perrienal tendon in my left foot. Oh my goodness, this has been quite the ordeal. I had been dealing with pain in my foot since December.
Finally, went to see a Podiatrist who immediately put me in my "super cute boot" and sent me for an MRI which confirmed a torn tendon. We tried the conservative route hoping it would heal itself (big laugh). So, wore the boot for 6 weeks. Then the doctor told me it wasn't going to heal on its own, so did the surgery. Its been a month, and still not allowed to walk or bear any weight on the foot. I'm toodling around on a knee walker and thank goodness I have that...there is no way I could use crutches for this amount of time.
Rick is doing EVERYTHING! Man oh man...what a trooper he is. He's told me a couple of times: "I don't know how you do it all."
He's doing his job, and everything house related, pet related and MIL related. I told our daughter how he keep saying that...and she said its good for him. "Respect the Ma." LOL
Anyway, I see the doc again next Thursday, and I'm hoping I can start at least bearing weight with the boot. I know for sure that I'll be in the boot for another 6 -8 weeks. I'm doing physical therapy twice a week with electro stim. And, I think they will start having me do some band exercises soon to start building the foot up. The PT said something about a wobble board...that sounds scary.
