• forpaws Posted : 7/22/2006 8:42:47 AM I must be making an impression on the employee's there cause they have made up two dry erase boards with all the pets that are in their care so if someone calls about a lost this or that, they can take a glance at the board to see if the lost pet is in one of their holding pens and take it from there. And they purchased a book on dog breeds with pictures mind you so they can cross ref the dogs that do come in. I also gave them a website to go too identifying the "Designer breeds" I am so proud of them! YAY!!   Now to devise a plan on how to get the obvious Bullies that are obviously owned by someone that are friendly and in great health out of there before they are destroyed. [] They don't hold these dogs as long as the others unfortunately. Sometimes they are euthanized within three days to make room for the others coming in. Some really need to be PTS because they are suffering greatly but yet they will put a Bully down in a heart beat. Working on it.   I wonder if our local cable company will show these dogs on their advertisment channel??? Idea's anyone??? • Nic Posted : 7/22/2006 10:20:36 AM Our cable company has an On-Demand feature that stores the animals profile.  They have about 50 profiles stored and you just access them by name and watch whenever you want.  They give a lot of information about the animals needs and the dogs personality when out of the shelter environment.  Something like this may really help your shelter since the hours are so limited.  If you need an example to take to your cable company I could tape the episode and send it to you.
