Drug Question

I am happy to report that we had a drug-free July 4th.  After reading these posts, I will never use this drug again.  Instead, we turned the TV (loud) to Animal Planet - The Ultimate Flyball Challenge (we saved it on Tivo) and closed the windows and had frosty paws all around.  I make them with yogurt, apples and bananas.  This was the sanest 4th we ever had.

Now, if those idiot neighbors of mine could just cool their jets with the fireworks.

Thankfully, it was pretty calm for us too. I gave my older dog a 50 mg benadryl (she weighs 70 lbs) and it seemed to be just enough to keep her calm.  She usually whines, barks, pants, etc., but she was totally fine.  My other lab isn't ;phased in the least by them.  Our neighbors must each spend hundreds of dollars on fireworks though and it goes on for hours.  I found a bottle rocket in our swimming pool this morning [:@].

We didnt give her anything... she was scared but was okay without it.  I dont see the need to drug her up with that crap especially after reading more about it, very glad I asked.  Bailey may have helped her since she didnt mind them at all.  Kayla never did mind them either... she would always be outside with us... but she would have never left the yard.

We are those neighbors who should cool it lol.  My dad and DH LOVE shooting them and always go a little crazy.

Ace is VERY BAD for BCs. There should be a note about it, like the four white feet don't treat thing for collies and ivermectin.

And it's not very good for certain anxiety reactions, as mentioned.

Fascinating. Both Ivermectin, and Ace trigger violent seizures, for Emma.

Now, it's a known fact that you don't Ace an epileptic dog, but....

That certainly makes me question her heritage, a little more[:D] The kid herds.
