    Recommended vets in San Jose

Are all dogs suppose to have a permanent vet?? Also, I was thinking about spaying my chihuahua/dachshund mix puppy, and she's about 4 months old. I was wondering if there are in recommendations to any vet in San Jose that are good, and the price is reasonable. Thanks.

I would say yes, your dog should have a permanent vet, if possible.  That way all your dog's medical issues, vaccination records etc are in one place.  Obviously in emergencies you may need to see another vet, but being registered with one for routine checkups, shots, and medications is a good idea.  As for one in your area, I am sorry I can't help with that, but someone here possibly can.

I am assuming (or hoping) that your puppy is current on all of her shots and worm preventatives?  And that you got her health-checked by the vet when you got her?  If so, is there a reason why the vet who did those things could not be your permanent vet?

She hasn't gotten all her shots yet. She only needs one more, which is coming up mid July. She's getting her shots at this Pet Store near my home.
