puppy

I  think i may be making progress with my pup....I left him in the canal for a few hours today and he actually went in abit easier today....i gave him a treat and he seemed to like it.  After i got home i had a nice hour long play session with him outside which he liked.  Tonite after we watched some tv after having our supper...he was doing his circling and i was watching him intently to see if he was going to squat....instead he went up the basement steps and stood by the door to go outside....when i got up there he had an accident on this green plastic mat which wasnt a big deal and i wiped it up with a clothe so now im going to keep it and use it on that spot i am going to attempt to potty train at.  He actually only had one tiny accident today other than that one.

It sounds like you are making progress.  Might I suggest that when you see him circling, don't wait for him to squat,  go ahead and scoop him up and take him outside so that he will not have an accident.  If you know that the circle means he is going to squat then take him to the appropriate place for that.  Just a thought...[]

oh i do...however, sometimes there have been many false alarms!!![]
