might only take two seconds Lori, but it costs money and this *might* have been a case of inability to buy food for Slim.

Very sad, but someone cared enough to take him where he could get some help and love at least.  Good thots heading his way!

Am dreading the thought of going back to work tomorrow and HAVING to be in the office all afternoon.  The stuff I need to do doesn't come close to taking that long,   So, I'll sit and twiddle my thumbs for a few hours.  Must get to the library in the morning so I can grab some new books........

What a fantastic weekend! It was very cold. Like really really cold but probably the most relaxing weekend I've ever had.

We hiked every day until we dropped, then took a nap and hiked some more. Abbie scared up a deer on one of our hikes and of course all the dogs gave chase. Now they need some serious bathing because the ponds and cricks were a slushy partly frozen mess and of course they swam every chance they got.

We had a campfire outside all day and had the fire place going inside at night. I love the smell of a camp fire. It just instantly makes me relax :)

Now we are all exhausted and I have lots of laundry and cleaning to do. I'm just feeling too lazy to do it though!

I picked DS up in Sacramento today and we went to the Home Depot in West Sacramento since he wanted to check out something in IKEA ... and while we were in HD someone stole all the magnetic paw prints off my car. Sad When we got home I checked the website where I originally ordered them and it says they've stopped production indefinitely. Crying I'll just keep my eyeballs peeled ... I'm sure I'll find a source somewhere. In the meantime, it's pretty obvious that I need to take a run through the carwash.

Congrats on the new job Ron!

I hope that Slim's previous owners rot in hell.

Jackie, don't get to used to spring. Lord knows it will be full blown, hot as hell, summer next week. ;)

Cathy, & Amber, Get well soon!

I accomplished so much today. All of the laundry is washed, ironed, & put away. The dusting, vaccuming, & mowing is done, & I even had a chance to visit with my baby bro for a little while. It was a very productive day.

DH cracks me up. He called me this afternoon to see if it was ok to buy the boys t-shirts. In an attempt not to spoil them rotten, & to teach them to manage their money, we give an allowance, & let them buy "unnecessary" things for themselves. DH couldn't decide if an "Elite 8" t-shirt was necessary, so he called me. It was very cute that he was considerate enough to call. They got the shirts.

Bev is driving me insane.  His routine for the day has been pace...pace...pace...bark...snag a couch pillow, & launch it into the ceiling fan.  Rinse, & repeat. Anybody want to babysit for a day or 3? Please....I'm begging!

No need to beg.  I'd love to do a test drive on a dobe!  It's still hat and gloves kind of cold here though so not sure if he'd like that.

I just replied to a post about Irish Setters and V's. It was harder than I thought.

I keep having this dream that Joker isnt really dead. Someone stole him from the vet and they just gave me some other dog's ashes.

JJ just shakes his head and says it's because I didnt see his body and am regretting it. All I did was ask for his collar when I went to the vet to pick him up and they offered to cremate him for me. I really miss him. I didnt know I would still be feeling like there's something missing 3 months later. I know it's because it's getting warmer and I had all these plans with him this summer.

Definitely don't get used to Spring. When I left for Hershey on Wednesday, we drive out with the windows down. I didn't take a coat. When I went to pack the car on Friday morning, I was really regretting this decision. My bag of clothes is still out there because it's too cold for me to be motivated to bring it in. It's also been too cold for the bathing suit to get smelly.

I'm trying to help my friend write some IEP goals and objectives for her assignment. We've been at this for over a half hour. She tried to convince me to do it for her, which in the past, I might have done so. I decided this time I was going to teach her to do it, because it is annoying to keep doing her stuff, and not getting mine done. Also, I realized that by doing things for her, I am doing the same sort of thing I am trying to teach my client's parents not to do (doing for their children instead of teaching the children to do).  I can see why they do it for their kids a little bit more now. I am trying to remind myself that if I teach her how to do this now, despite taking me greater effort, in the long run, this will pay off. Next time, she might be able to run the finished product by me, then have it down.

No worries, he has a jacket!  Big Smile

Lori, I would love for you to get to test drive a dobe.  I love the breed, & I think that you would make a great dobe owner.

Back from Vegas. The two young boys were soooo excited to get home, and Jules and the Elf did great for the sitter aside from Jules not letting her take his belly band off. Ginget got stress poos but that isn't new. It's why we try not to leave her for more than a day or so..she just gets too stressed. If we fly home this winter she'll be coming with, she takes most things in stride if she is with us.

Let the boys sniff the wee poodle when we picked them up. All went fine, though Aesop was a little overexcited..but his seein us after 30 hours was probably the wrong time to do so :P  Will ask tomorrow if it's been enough time past the second worming to bring her home. Hope so :)

Hester, you are quite a pretty girl!

I think I broke Patrick.  His mom went on a dog date and took Henry and asked if I went somewhere with Gracie that I take Patrick so he wouldn't be alone.  Well, I'd planned on walking Gracie to the park to go running.  I think the 2+ miles was too much for Patrick (even though I kept him on the leash while G ran willynilly - and inadvertently chased a few Canadian geese when I called her to come).  Patrick has been sleeping the rest of the afternoon and when he gets up he's limpy.  Poor old man.  He needs more exercise than just running up and down the hallway.  Gracie meanwhile is groany and cuddly - my favorite version of G.
