Barking collars

• dogluvr Posted : 3/9/2006 10:58:36 AM We have 2 bassett hounds that love to bark when they are confined to their area when we have people over for a cookout. They are not confined hardly at all but we wanted to nip this in the butt. We bought 2 bark collars that are similar to the invisible fence collars and they give a small correction, not sound. Honestly we don't even have to charge them or even put them on anymore. We don't even have to charge them, again we let our dogs bark believe me, Fred barks at his duck or monkey for an hour every night when I get home from work because he is excited. I know someone who bought the tone collar and after awile the dog would bark again, the spray I wouldn't even try that.     0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Do you mean that she barks like when someone comes to visit continuously or that she just barks when she see's people on your property? If the latter me personally I like that Sasha does that lets me know people are outside, nonetheless I do know people that have used the bark collars before and most have said they didn't seem to work that well or if they did not for long. If I have someone here to buy ducks/eggs/rabbits I leash her up outside while I am with the person, and she will bark the entire time. If I had her off the leash she would go up and bark at the person, until she is ok with them. So it is easier for me to leash her while they are here because I don't want them to be afraid. So sometimes it's embarassing.
