Wednesday small talk

Way to go, Otis and Tina!!!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Got some sort-of good news today - BF was accepted at one of the schools I was accepted to. Except they're not offering him a stipend (covering his expenses only, as opposed to another school that's offering him a huge stipend) and it's my #2 school (not the #1 I was pretty set on up until this afternoon). So.... this makes our decisions harder, but it's always good to have options!

Oh man, I don't envy you on the decision making part of this. I agonize over the smallest things and this would have me up all night for sure. I'm glad you've got options though and hopefully one of them will work out well for you guys both educationally, financially and personally.

My boss has been here almost all day and I have a huge headache. He also told me that he may not retire in Dec. and he's going to work in the office more so he can be more productive Crying

Courtney, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. Hopefully, your family will behave themselves. If they don't, speak softly, & carry a big 2x4. ;)

Cathy, are you experiencing a little puppy fever? You sure are watching a LOT of puppies recently...

I'm so happy that Otis found his forever home! Way to go, Tina, for helping him out!

I had dinner & drinks with an old friend tonight. He & I dated in high school. We lost touch after graduation, & we just recently reconnected. It was fun to get to catch up with him tonight. He's still single, so I am going to introduce him to one of my best friends.

I'm going to try & do this from memory so bear with me. :)

Yay Otis!  You so deserve to be spoiled.  Many happy years with your new folkses.

Jamison, I hope your owie is a bug bite or something non worrisome.

    How's Agnes?

Courtney, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grammy.  I'm glad that she's out of her misery & moving on to better things.  I wish your family could be as non dramatic & bland as my own.  We had a spree of deaths a number of years ago & it all went very smoothly, well mostly.  I did wish I had the 2x4 to use on my Uncle's wife.  She was a royal PITA.  So if you choose to go to your #2 choice I'm assuming you won't be coming to the land of jughandles from the land of cucumber sandwiches?

    I know I'm missing stuff & I'm sorry.

We had a major crisis yesterday.  The TV in the family room died.  Of course we HAD to go out shopping for another one,  It will be delivered Wednesday.  Well I don't care about the delivery but more so the removal of the old tube TV.  Oye that bugger is heavy.  I hope they don't whimp out & take it for us.

The good news is that Grady is feeling much better.  The weather has been so delovely since the nor'easter passed that he's been reluctant to come inside.

Happy St. Patty's day to everyone!

Went to the parade today and had lots of fun - Cody enjoyed the Irish pub we went to for lunch very festive and happy fun!  Not to mention what a beautiful day - it is usually raining on St. Patty's day in NY.

Been busy tonight firming up some travel plans for next week, its going to be tuff for my family since my DH work schedule is so hectic and hard for him to get cody off to school and home each day.  They'll survive but i hate leaving them with so much stress.

Courtney sorry to hear about your Grandma's passing - prayers that your family behaves themselves.

Congratulations to Otis and his new family of love!

I didn't have time to read everyone's posts today but I'm thinking of you all and hope you all had a great Weds.  I had a great and busy Weds.  It is Noah's bday and spent the morning running around and taking care of stuff for his party as well was a parent chapparone for his kindergarten class field trip to the post office.

Family was over and we had an optims prime pinata which was smashed to smithereens :)   I can't believe he's 6 already!

I just wanted to share this important note with everyone:

It is important to take a leash when taking your dog to class.

I took Luke to his agility class tonight, and realized I forgot to take his leash. I wasn't running late, and I should have had plenty of time to go grab one in a store. However, I then hit almost every red light, and had to stop for a train. So, I ended up being a few minutes late, because I still had to go buy him a leash. I left that one in the car now, so I'll always have something in there. Now I'm wondering though if I might have had one in the trunk, but I neglected to look there. Oh well, except the place I stopped was a little shop, so the leash I bought wasn't a cheap one.

Aw man that stinks! Especially since you had to pay so much for one. :-/
