It is so obvious that he is loved and that he loves! Good job Heather, of course I really have a soft spot for BBD's but Sammy has the shiniest black coat!

But all we saw was a sweetie pie with a heart of gold who got along with Harry from the moment they met, and that's all we cared about.

And how awesome is that? I love it that they got along so well right from the start. Sammy really does look so good! You should be proud of how far he's come. His good nature earned him that chance at good health, a brother, and loving family!

This moment is the one I really remember from when we were at the shelter that day:
After we told them what kind of dog we were looking for (an adult large dog who loves to play with other dogs) a volunteer brought Sammy out so we could introduce him to Harry. They sniffed for literally 2 seconds and then both of them did simultaneous play bows. That's when I knew this just might be a good match. Of course we let them play together for a half hour or so, to be completely sure, but from that first moment I was pretty sure Sammy was going to be part of our family. And I'm soooo glad he is! I think he is, too.
