 Aww, poor Zig!  I'm sorry, Lily must have been so gutted! 

 What a little cute *swoons over snake pictures.*  I hope to get a corn snake one day.  I love all the colors they come in, and they are the perfect size. =3 

So sorry to here about Zig, but I'm glad Lily decided the joys of having one outweighed the sorrows.  Even when we give our pets the best of care, things can happen and nothing helps to heal a wounded heart like another friend to create new memories with.

What a cutie! I had a corn once... and it escaped in my car. I almost tore apart the dashboard to find it. I'm assuming you did some searching though for Zig.  I found it in the glove box. Where you live a corn could probably make it, actually, even where I live, because I know over in Jersey, my friend has gotten some in her fish traps.

Okay, I have to ask.... fish traps?! I'm picturing aquatic enclosures of some sort in order to capture fish?

 Yup, aquatic enclosures in which to capture fish. She is doing this for some sort of research, or she was at least. Actually, I'm thinking it wasn't a corn she had in the trap, but another type of rat snake. Very similar to a corn though the last time she sent me a picture (yes, I thought it was cool for my friend to send me a picture of a dead snake).

 That is one very handsome snake! I'm not a snake person but I would definetly like to see more pictures of this guy!

To be honest? I would rather be bitten by a full grown corn snake than even a Chihuahua...do a lot less damage and be a lot less bloody LOL!

So TRUE!  I've been bit by a 6' rat snake, a 3' water snake, a 2' corn snake, a garter snake and probably others that I can't remember, but the bites were tiny little pin pricks that oozed a drop of blood and was done.  No biggy.  Mickey bit my BF and it was no big deal.  Of course, BF was freaked out by it at first but then after, was like, hey, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Snake teeth are tiny, but there are lots of them.  Snake bites are worse if you pull your hand back because then there is some tearing of your skin, just like a dog bite, only not as bad. ;)

He's a beautiful snake and I too, am sorry to hear about Zig.  We "lost" one of my ex's snakes in our apartment in the fall.  At some point in the winter, our roommate woke up to the snake knocking things off his desk. That was a king snake, also notorious for escaping.  ;)

 oooooo hes so pretty! I cant wait to see pics of him growing up.

I looove reptiles. Ive never had a snake though, but I would like to have a ball python someday.

same here, I love his coloring, and something about those big eyes makes him seem docile & friendly. just looks good natured.
