• Jennifer M. Posted : 4/11/2006 10:41:05 AM   Does anyone have any ideas for a few fund raisers to do for our rescue group. So far we have a K9 run and set up a booth at our local B match we have every year. What other ideas can you come up with??? I need to get Farley the rescue out into the community to let people here know he is available, among others we have in foster care. One of our foster moms just took on a 5 pup litter yesterday to bottle raise. She will need help and we need more room in our foster homes for new commers. I think with a few ideas we can get things off the ground floor.  Our main goal is to educate the public as to how many unwanted pets are in our small community and how to reduce the numbers of deaths in our shelter each year. The pups that were surrendered yesterday are rot-mixes and will require lots of work. The man surrendering them had no idea our shelter has to destroy over 3000 dogs and cats each year. There a serious limit of space and rescourses in a community of less than 40,000 people. So it is our job to educate and try to place some of these pets.  So lets have it!!!!!!!!
