Hello, i´ve got a mistery dog!

Hello, this is my first post here. I´d like to share some pics of my dog. She´s 10 months old, more or less, and weighs 10 pounds. I got her at the rescue. We were told she was a Papillon/Chihuahua mix, but that sounds like an educated guess. She´s very quiet for her age.
I´d like to know your opinion.

I havn't had much interaction with either of those breeds, so I couldn't say, but she is gorgeous whatever she is.

I almost see Shelti in there, that tail just scream it  I can't really ;place what else is in there but she is beautiful!

Thanks! Chihuahua or any other kind of small breed or mutt is more likely than papillon, which is exceedingly rare around here.

    Welcome to the forum!

Thanks again! Well, she´s too small for a sheltie, not to mention that it´s even rarer than papillon in these parts.  Here´s a papillon phalene for comparison:

She does look like a Pap mix but I'd guess the other breed is a "drop-ear" breed.. Maybe Cocker?

Isn´t she too small to have any Coker in her? She´s  barely ten pounds. As to the drooping ears, there´s a variety of papillon called phalene with drooping ears:

    See also here:
The phalene is the same as the erect-eared papillon except   for its dropped spaniel-like ears

Apparently, the two variants are considered different breeds everywhere except in the USA.
Anyway, there´s a very slim chance little Orisha, my dog, has papillon in her, but she really does look the part! I´ll try to post some more pics of her later on.

Maybe part King Cavalier Spaniel?  She is adorable,,,,I want to touch that white chest of hers!

I am definately thinking chihuahua/papillon... usually chihuahuas mixed with any breed end up with the floppy ears.
    • Puppy
No she's not too small. Am Cockers run about 18 lbs and Paps are more like 6. The description of the Phalene doesn't work cuz she has drop-over ears like a Pug, not spaniel ears.

humm... her pics make her look so much larger then 10 lbs.  I have heard of 10 lb shlties before but I think your guess of a papillion is closer then anything else.
