Buying a good Rotti requires a lot of research. Get a poorly bred one and it`s a crap shoot as to temperament and health. How you bring up, train and socialize a dog will have a great affect on your dogs personality. People always say it`s how you raise them(Rotties, Shepherds, Pitties, etc) and that`s true 90% of the time. Get one that is genetically messed up and you will be in for the shock of your life. Depends on lines and breeder. I would prefer a German bred rotti that has titled parents. These will be a higher drive and require a more serious handler. What is it you want to do with this dog? Companion, dog sport, schutzhund, obedience, protection?
