I never heard that Lab's nails grow any faster than any other dogs and my own experience with the breed never revealed anything special about their nails but handling puppies and especially their feet is beneficial for any dog as Ron said.
Maze's nails have to be done ever 4th day or else they get to long. I sand her nails because I couldn't keep up with a regular nail clippers. Lol. They do grow like a weed on Maze.
Sandy's nails I can do once every two weeks and we're fine. *shrugs*
