For my new boss

    For my new boss

My new boss is a lovely woman...I am truly enjoying working for her; its been a couple of months now.

She lives in NW Arkansas and commutes to Texas frequently (amongst her other travels that is required of this senior exec.)

This woman has the biggest heart; she and her brother have adopted their great neice and nephew who are 14 & 15 years old about a year ago.  Saved them from lifelong hardships that no child should endure.

I ask all my iDog friends for prayers for her and her family.  Her brother is the recipent of a kidney; the first one received in 1992.  He is now on his third donated kidney; and his body is rejecting it.  This is devastating for the family as he is unlikely to receive yet another kidney (not only are there no more donors; but his body has reached the point that even with medication, it will reject it).

The doctors are not giving up hope; they are starting a new treatment plan (of which I have no details).

Please send healing thoughts and prayers for him (Earl); and "be strong" thoughts for my boss (Linda) and their kids.

My printer is getting laden with stickies today!!  And that's just FINE with me.  I just added both Linda and Earl (and family) -- if it helps, tell her their stickie is blue!  (sometimes it just plain HELPS people to know something silly like "a friend of mine puts all her prayer requests on stickies and attaches them to the printer on her desk -- your stickie is apparently blue!!"

Adding my prayers for Earl and for his family.  Linda sounds like a wonderful person.

I wanted to update everyone and thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  Earl is home now after 2 weeks in the hospital.  There is no kydney for him; and he will be on dialysis from here on out.  He is in good spirits, albeit a bit scared of the future.  At least he is home now and surrounded by his family; and forever the optimist.

    Thanks again everyone!

Sad but uplifting.  My prayers for Earl and his family.
