For Laurelin, and her family

I'm very late seeing your thread about the loss of your mother.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  She was lovely - what a special photo you posted of her.  I can't even imagine what it was like to experience the last several weeks, witnessing how such a horrible illness was affecting her.  And now, you and your family are dealing with a huge hole in your lives.  My thoughts are with all of you and with your mother -- may you find comfort in imagining her in the company of her loved ones (people and dogs) who've gone before her, watching over you and your family.  Cancer takes so many people far too young (gosh - she was only 4 years older than I am).  Again, my sympathy to you at this heartbreaking time.  Take care.

Laurelin I have just gotten my electric back, I am so sorry for your loss.   What a beautiful picture of your Mom.  You and your family are in my prayers.  The first few weeks are always so hectic that you wont have time to grieve yourself, when you get settled dont forget we are here to lend and ear and a shoulder.

I've only just seen this, Laurelin, and wanted to express my sympathies on your family's loss.  She is at peace now and resting easier because you have been strong enough to take a detour in your plans and be there for her and for all your family.  The picture you shared is beautiful - take comfort knowing how much she loved the life she had.

I actually lost a close friend 5 years ago at 41 to brain cancer and this week, another is losing her battle to the same disease at 45 after a biopsy caused dramatic and devastating hemhorraging.  It seems so cruel and capricious that young vibrant people like your mother and my friends can be taken by this disease and it does make you wonder.
