Question for Christian members - about pets & religion

For those who believe in the Bible and believe in the rapture /the second coming of Christ... when the rapture happens, what will happen to everyone's pets who depend on us for care? Do you think God anticipates this and will provide? I don't know what made me start pondering this, so I'm just curious what anyone here might think.

Doesn't He promise that His eye is on the sparrow?  Doesn't He promise that the very hairs on our head are numbered?  Doesn't it say "Trust in the Lord with [ALL] your heart and lean not unto thine [OWN] understanding"? (emphasis mine)

When Christ died did He say on the cross to his Mother, Mary "Oops Mom, SORRY -- I forgot to make sure I had a burial plot -- sorry to leave you with THAT one!"

    NOPE -- it was covered.

Is it in God's character to forget details?  Are you going to get before him and say "DId you feed FLUFFY???"

I think He expects us to trust Him ... sometimes He's just plain silent on something that He expects us to just trust Him on.  I think He'd say something like "err ... if you can trust ME with your body ... how about other small living things?  No brainer??

Look at all the stories in Hebrews 11 "For Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen ..."  But then look at ALL those people ... and the faith they put in God that He would look out for ALL the bases if they just did THEIR part.

And *smile* I'm thinking specifically about Daniel ... lions?  Yeah ... I think God's pretty well got the whole animal thing covered ... don'tcha think??  If He handled the 'bad' lions ... how much more will He care for the ones WE love!

I hadn't thought about this before, but I agree with Callie's answer; thanks Callie.

Interesting - check out my signature - its been that way forever.

Heaven is only heaven to me if there are animals therefore I know they will be there.    And Callie's right - He has His eye on "even" the sparrow,   PLUS I've had my own pet related miracle (somewhere in the archives is the story of My Michelle's miracle).   SO, I know from experience that our Lord cares for all the animals and would not abandon them even at the end times.   They're be right there with us :)   And the lion, shall lay down by the lamb.
