My every prayer is with your daughter.
You must tell your daughter that this is HER disease and she can take control of it. She doesn't have to wait and hope and fear. There are MANY positive things that can be done to combat cancer, from diet, to herbal remedies to visualisation techniques (which sounds daft but it really can, and does, work). On the other hand, stress, apathy and a poor diet will create a super environment in her body for cancer to thrive!
True story - a woman went to the doctor about a lump in her breast. Tests showed that it was cancer and it was too large to operate on - bigger than a tennis ball. The woman went away and visualised VERY STRONGLY the cancer in her body - **SHRINKING**. She imagined her own healthy cells surrounding and attacking the cancerous ones. She did this every day, morning and night. Weeks later she went back to the doctor to begin treatment and the doctor could not even find the lump. EVENTUALLY he found it; it had reduced to the size of a walnut and now that it was so much smaller, it could now be operated on.
Look into holistic/herbal treatment to support your daughter against the cancer AND the treatment. Chemo is an aggressive treatment and it is not selective. What can happen is that the body appears to respond well to the chemo, and when it stops the body is left so weakened that the cancer just runs rampage. That is what happened with my dad; I WISH I knew now what I knew then. That's not to say chemo should not be tried - just that other avenues should be investigated thoroughly as well to COMPLIMENT the conventional treatment.
Another true story - a woman who was riddled with cancer so badly that the doctors had little hope noticed that there were very few Asian women at the clinic where she went for treatment. She asked the staff about it and the staff admitted they didn't have many Asian patients but they didn't know why. So the woman researched the differences in lifestyles and found that they tend to eat a lot less dairy in that part of the world. So she cut out dairy products.... made a full recovery and, I think, wrote a book about her experience to inspire others.
If you want me to PM you with info we found when researching for my dad, let me know.
One last anecdote - my cousins friend was given 6 weeks to live. She started drinking Essiac tea and visualising it in her body as a golden liquid surrounding and dissolving the cancer cells. That was 6 years ago.... she is still alive and kicking today.
Warmest wishes, big hugs and the best luck in the world for your daughter and strength and courage to her loved ones.
