At least they got to the bottom of it and he's in the best place at the children's hospital. Is his mom your daughter or he's your sons?
Riley is a wonderful hospital; I have a friend who's baby daughter was born several weeks premature and wasn't given much chance for survival. They took her to Riley's and she's happy and healthy today thanks to their great care and expertise. This was several years ago, before all the new technologies for saving preemies were developed, so what they did was amazing. Ayrton is the youngest of four children that belong to my son and his wife. The only daughter I have is in graduate school and she's not planning on getting married anytime soon.
He is sooo much better this morning; he even growled at the nurse, which is a good thing; it's something he does when he's happy. I was wrong about the drainage tube; he doesn't have one. Apparently, that was only if they made an incision in the side of his neck, which they didn't need to do. When my daughter-in-law called this morning he was working on his third cup of juice and had eaten some Cheerios! There's a good possibility that he'll be going home today.
I was really worried that he would be afraid when they took him on the helicopter, but he was still groggy from being sedated and slept through the ride, so he didn't have that additional stress. I honestly believe all your prayers helped; thanks again.
