When I got there last night, I walked in to the room and his eyes flew open. I think he recognized me. He was much less sedated, and the nurse came in to ask him to slow his breathing down himself - she asked him to blink if he understood, and he blinked. They did have to use more sedation later, and keep him from raising his heart rate too much, but I guess that was a bit of progress, too. Just don't know how many "insults" he can take and keep coming back, but I am going to keep asking for miracles.
