I'm so sorry and I know it must be beyond painful to watch and wait. I will continue to say prayers for both of you and I hope things take a turn for the better very soon.

Update...I spoke to a nurse in CCU who told me that they managed to get him to wiggle his toes this afternoon and follow movement with his eyes, and his temp is down.  Things are still very bad, but those are, at least, small improvements.  My "Bear" is a fighter.

That's really great, Anne.  Small improvements are still very definitely improvements.

Well, at least he's showing some improvement. I'm still thinking about you guys.
    • Gold Top Dog

At least it's positive news; I'll keep him in my prayers.

wriggling toes is good -- a response is a response!!

When I got there last night, I walked in to the room and his eyes flew open.  I think he recognized me.  He was much less sedated, and the nurse came in to ask him to slow his breathing down himself - she asked him to blink if he understood, and he blinked.  They did have to use more sedation later, and keep him from raising his heart rate too much, but I guess that was a bit of progress, too.  Just don't know how many "insults" he can take and keep coming back, but I am going to keep asking for miracles.

Well no doubt seeing you raised his heart rate and breathing Big Smile. I'm sure just seeing him open his eyes was a bright spot for you. I hope he continues to make baby steps in improving every day. Miracles happen every day, so there's no reason why they can't happen for you and your BF.
