Dyan, I am so sorry to hear this.  I have had some family challenges the last two nights and I just haven't been able to catch up.

Bubby, you were so loved here on Earth, girl -- I know you've found Foxy, and Winnie and so many other I-Dog buddies.  I know Foxy, particularly, will enjoy having a good buddy who is TALL ENOUGH to see over all the grass, and over all the other heads at the Meadow!!!!

    Run and have fun, Bubblegum!

So very sorry to hear about this. It has been a hard time for you and your dear animal Bubblegum.  God knows you tried to keep her and get her well.

She will stay in your heart! And yet she is free from those discomforts that plagued her at the very end.  The joy I know superceded these harsh last days.

Run free dear Bubblegum, such a sweet dog.

Oh Dyan, I am so, so sorry. We just recently loss one of our cats and so we are going through a loss as well and I know that it is only time that will heal. Our pets are so precious to us and this is the down side of owning them, the broken heart that feels as though it will never mend. But we had the wonderful times that they gave us and we can be thankful for that. Bubblegum gave you many wonderful memories, that you will always have with you.

Oh, Dyan, I am so very sorry!  Bubblegum made a big impression on this board and she will certainly be missed.  In time, you may find yourself browsing thru your old posts here, remembering silly or sweet things she did, and will know that her life touched many many people here.  I am picturing her in the snow - that photo you posted where the snowbanks were bigger than her.  I'll remember her fondly.  She will live on with many hearts.

Please be good to your own heart as you grieve.  I'll give the black and white Dane at our dog park an extra pat tonight, in honor of Bubby.  Run free, sweetest Bubby!

Dyan, you know this was the news I did not want to hear.  I'm so sorry that you lost your sweet Bubby.  Now, there is a little black and white dog at the right hand of the Creator, but also a large black and white dog on the left.  I just know they will be great friends at the Bridge till we get there.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words of love!

I thought it was hard at work yesteday, everyone kept asking how she was. But I managed thru only to find that it was so much harder coming home to my house without her waiting for me.   The first day was easy,,,we knew she was not suffering and afraid anymore. Now its just plain sad...and we miss her so much. We will survive I know.

Many of you were in on Bubby to begin with. Many of you helped me thru the first "trying" days with her.  We thought she had pyometa at first..... then we realized we had some behavior issues....   Several of you helped me thru all of that. I believe it was Anne who told me that one day I will be here trying to help someone from what I learned about Bubby. And you were soo right Anne.  In one way,,she still wasn't the dog in the end that I would have liked... some of her personality issues that started well before I got her. But in every other way, she was so much more than anything I could ask for. Besides being beautiful, elegant and proud, she was the sweetest most loving dog I could have had. I will always be grateful for her breeder giving her to me to spend the rest of her life with...and to make her the princess that she deserved to be...instead of the retired show dog and breeding girl, stuck in a cage in her basement.

Thank you to each and everyone who posted and/or PMd me. For those that are going thru their own crisis...I'm sorry, I hope it works  out for you and I'm sorry that I can't read what is going on  or to try to help.

I hope one day I can put together a few things in her honor to share with you. Right now I can't even look thru the millions of pictures I have on my computer and printed out.

Dyan, I haven't been able to check to forum for a couple days, and I just kept holding you all in my thoughts and heart.  I'm so very sorry to hear this heartbreaking news - I know you're devastated.  I also know how you can feel like your holding things together okay when you make it through a day at work, going about a routine away from the house, but how it all changes when you get home and your beloved sweetie isn't there.  The silence is unbearable.

I've always held a special place in my heart for Bubblegum because she had such a regal and lovely way about her in your photos.  She also reminded me of a special friend my Tonka had.  I've spoken of him before on the forum -- he was a Harlequin Dane in our old neighborhood.  He was the only dog Tonka knew that required HIM to stretch up to sniff and greet!  And they loved to see each other at the park where we both walked.  More than once on a very foggy morning, I'd be walking Tonka and he'd stop and stare into the fog, and suddenly, Hurricane would emerge quietly and gracefully, heading towards us, like an apparition.  Both Tonka and Hurricane are at the Bridge, and I just know they'll look for Bubby -- in fact, I'll bet they'll have a little competition over her affections!

My heart goes out to you and your family -- you have many people here who understand what you're feeling, and we all send you our deepest condolences.

Goodbye Bubby - you captured the hearts of many who never even met you.  Watch over your family as they mourn your loss and learn to face the days without your physical presence beside them.

Dyan, I haven't checked this section for a few days and words can't say how sorry I am to hear about Bubby.  I think for a lot of us, when a forum member loses a dog it's like we've lost a dog of our own.  Run free, pretty girl.
