And, he is officially a non-smoker - hope that lasts
I know that will be tough. We have a friend who suffered from growth deformities that made one leg shorter than the other. Made him short all over, back problems. Speciallly equipped van. Two canes and/or crutches, sometimes a wheelchair. Anyway, he went into the hospital to get a stent put in a leg artery but they ended up having to do a cut-down. While in hospital, they found out he is allergic to tobacco. And he's had 3 packs a day for decades. So, he's cut down to a few cigs a week with the idea of quitting. Our other friends help by getting him the nastiest, foul cigarettes they could find. And they keep the cigarettes. It's the only way he can quit. The patches and gums have nicotine, which he is allergic to. So, there's no choice but almost cold turkey.
Anyway, glad to see your guy is back home and doing better.
