My dad needs some prayers

    My dad needs some prayers

Today my parents sat me down and told me my dad has Stage II prostate cancer.  He's having surgery on Wednesday.

I'm so worried and going thru crying at times.  I'm just really frightened.

So, if you could all please pray that they can get it all and that it hasn't spread I would be so, so grateful.

He's been a really good dad.

    Thanks.

    Lori

I'm so sorry. (Hugs) I hope everything goes smoothly and that his cancer hasn't spread.

Pirate sends some nice kisses, too.

Aw, hon, it's so hard when someone we love is ill.  I'd rather be the one with an issue than to watch my loved ones suffer.

You've got prayers and good vibes coming from here.  And the shepherds some some good healing kisses as well.

Many good thoughts for you dad and your family.  Snuffa and Kayjin send kisses as well.

Lori, I remember back when Muffin the Intrepid got cancer -- and we sent the 'thing' to pathology and it came back Stage TWO cancer .. and I can remember thinking "OMG ... why couldn't we have caught it EARLIER!!!! it's already stage .... TWO!!!!"

**Then** I found out -- stage 1 usually isn't even considered 'cancer' ... stage 2 usually IS **really** early.  so that's a good thing.

But I will surely be lifting him and your Mom and your whole family up ... prayers AND good thots!!!

Lori - I will definitely keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Getting news like this is always difficult but I'm sure it's even more so at this time of year. As Callie said, it seems that they caught it very early and I've had a few friends go thru surgery and they're doing really great. I thought I'd read that prostrate cancer is generally non-aggressive. I hope that's the case with your dad.

    Thank you so much!

I'm having a hard time understand how I'm feeling.  I had a hard time even calling over there today to see what they were doing.

*hugs* I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I totally feel for you. I found out about 3 weeks ago my grandfather has prostate cancer also. His surgery was supposed to be on the 19th. The did some tests and now pushed it back till Jan. Definately hard to go thru, I will pray for your family.
