Prayers for Angel.

    Prayers for Angel.

<-- Angel. She been missing I think probably a week now, and still we hasn't found her. She ran away from my cousin house after she opened the garage door, and Angel just took off, My niece on that day after work, went around the neighborhood and still hasn't find her. I wanted to go out and find her today, but no one was at their house. I really wish and hope that I will find angel and take care of angel, since they planned to give her away.

Some action plans that I was planning to do:
-She loves this squeeky sound toy ball, and I was going to get my niece to squeeze the sound, incase angel might hear it and start to bark.
-Calling her name. I beleive dogs has good ears and smell sense, so I'm thinking about going around the neighborhood and doing this.
-Also, have a picture of her, if there poeple outside their house, I was thinking about telling my niece to ask them if they have seen angel.

She didn't wear her collar that day. I am sad because I wanted to take her home over the memorial weekend, but after I heard she ran away, It sadden me and also I been thinking about her every night.

I hope she is safe, and when I start to take my action plan into action, I hope I find her.

Is there any other suggestion or advice that we can use in order to get angel to either hear, smell, or sense that we are looking for her? Your comments, suggestion and advices are appreciaited.
Thanks for taking the time to read over this thread.

If you have not posted flyers with her picture in the neighborhood yet, do so. Leave her name off them, offer a reward and don't state how much, state she needs medications and last, have at least four phone numbers on the flyer to include the vet's office.

Call animal control to make sure she did't get picked up for being at large. Humane Society also. Each place will take your information on a lost report.
When the local newspaper opens, leave a lost add, they are usually free for a few days.

I also would put flyers out every place you can even if they tell you NO, be crafty about it but just don't get caught.

Forpaws has all the right steps outlined - we'll add our hopes, positive thoughts and prayers for Angel's return to your efforts.

Here is a link to make an easy flyer.  You can make changes as needed and pass them out to neighbors.
I would also check every shelter in person at least every other day.
Good luck, I hope you find her soon.

Also alert all the vet clinic's in your area and give them a flyer too.

If microchipped, alert the maker of the chip asap!

Go look for yourself at AC and any and all shelters in your area and surrounding counties.
Keep a phone log on anyone who calls, you may need to talk to them again.

In the paper add's if there is a Found, call to identify type of thing, call them and describe your Angel.
Also cross ref the paper with Found add's as well as lost add's for pets.

There are some web sites you can go to to post her information free. Ask me if you want them, I'll send them to you.

And lastly, NEVER, give UP looking.

Thanks Yall for helping me out.
The animal Control, I'm not sure which animal control to go to, since there are several which are not in the town where my nieces live (she live in a small town, and the animal control that I searched is about 20mins drive each direction.) I have a feeling that the people who live around the area might of kept her.

I beleive I can post flyers around the neighborhood. Do you know how much the reward should be? I was thinking either $20-$50 (I'm a poor college student). Is it too much?

I have a big problem which I don't know what to do. I don't know the area that my nieces live, and I asked them if they want to go search for angel, and Their response seem like they do not care about angel anymore. Since I am not from the area, I don't know where to go and search for her. I might get lost myself instead. This really hurts me because I love this dog to death and I was planning to take care of angel at my place on memorial weekend because They planned to give it away. I was thinking of taking her after I sign the lease of my home because I want to make sure that I am able to keep dogs as pets (eventho my neighbor have dogs but we all have the same manager.) So I planned to take care of it yesterday, but now I can't. The thing that hurts me is, they don't really give the dog enough attention and love that is needed, That why everytime I go visit them, Most of my time that I spend there is with the dog, and Now with this situation, I tried contacting them, but one of them never answer me back.

But I hope they answer back, and I will head out there to search for angel, and take all of your advices and get it into action. I hope I can find angel.
    Thanks!!

I have a feeling that the people who live around the area might of kept her. That may be true but do yourself a favor, check the rescues, AC, Shelters, Humane Society etc.

I beleive I can post flyers around the neighborhood. Do you know how much the reward should be? I was thinking either $20-$50 (I'm a poor college student). Is it too much? In my book one should NOT have to offer a reward, but, what ever you feel is fair, it's your decision.

    Thanks!!

Thanks Forpaws for replying. The color fonts got me lost at first.. lol
Ok I think that I'm going to check around the neighborhood first to see if anyone have seen her around. But if that doesn't work. I will check the animal control.
As an reward, I feel like if they took care of her, then they should be rewarded, but if she is mistreated then they will not be rewarded. but I'll think about it.
I do not have any friends there, because I am not from that area, nor I go out there that often. (I live in the city, My nieces live in the suburbs.)
As for angel. I told one of my neices to hold her for me because I am going to take her (I beleive the beginning of May) But I hope they don't dump or gave her away, or else I'll be dissapointed and don't talk to them anymore. (ok I might be exagerrating about not talking to them, but let see.)
Thanks Forpaws. I'm going to bugg the hell out of my niece, until she answer me back.

Hi, I have a question regarding going to the Animal Control. I was wondering do we need to bring any documents (if there was any documents) for proof?
    Thanks!
Edit: Updates. I really do not know what to do, My niece aren't responding back to me. I'm really worry and I am anxious to go find the dog. Right now my choices are, either to keep contacting them (which I know they're going to ignore or not reponse my calls) or to give up. It's hard for me to give up, but the reaction that I'm getting from my niece is I can't do anything.
I pray most of the nights for Angel to come home, but my prayers are not coming into action.

Make a huge ;poster board sign that just says "Lost (whatever color she is) Dog" and your phone number.  Post it near where she disappeared.  Then, make more and post them wherever you can.  Drivers often don't slow down to read small print.  Check all AC and shelters in your area every day, and go to them in person every other day.  Check Petfinder.com - go to all local vet offices, grooming shops, pet food shops, etc. and leave a flyer.
Good luck - I hope you find her.  Don't give up - a family in NH found their dog after two years!

Thanks yall for helping me out. This situation has gave me headaches. Like in the other post, My niece are not replying back to my msgs. I'm here anxious to go out and look for the dogs. But I beleive that I'm not going to look for Angel, because of theri dog owners. I don't want to say this, but I beleive I have to give up. Because this is giving me stress just by myself, when the original owners are not helping. I can't go out there and search because I don't know the area, and also I don't know where to look, since I wasn't there when the scene happen. I'm really sad and depress with my decision, butI hope one day the owners would see angel and get her back.

two weeks after she ran away. I decided to take action.
I went to the pound. No found =(
I search in the area that she might be at. No found.
I don't know what to do now. I mean I don't want to give up, but if there no sign of her, that mean someone found her and taking of her. I hope they can return the dog back to us, because I miss her, and I want to keep her. I pray and pray for her return, but it seem like it not coming true. These past couple weeks, i don't know what is wrong, things i want to happen, doesn't happen.

    Angeldog.

My prayers are with you and Angel. One can take hope in that there are people out there who will find a dog and take care of her. Since she has not been found injured or worse, then I would believe someone has her.

Yes ccordray, I believe that someone found her, and kept her. I mean she a sweetheart, whoever sees her would want to keep her. I filed missing, but I believe that won't help.
Oh well. She with her new owner now. best wishes for her.

    Thanks ccordray.
