Lori - I must have missed a post about Willow somewhere (I'm checking in sporadically these days, and I don't make it through all the threads very often).  I hope it's nothing serious and that you get some specific answers soon.  I have first hand experience with the  frustration of not knowing exactly what you're dealing with (both for my own health, and Tonka's during his last year).  Not knowing what's going on or what steps to take to address it is as hard to cope with as an actual bad diagnosis sometimes.

Whatever the issues are, I know that Willow is in good hands, as she is blessed with a devoted and loving mom, who will do all she can to see that she gets the best of care.  Hugs to both of you, and I'll keep you both in my thoughts.  Keep us posted.

Lori, how is Willow today?   Hoping she is feeling better and eating for you! I have a thing about sick kids or dogs eating,,,if they eat I feel much better.

    Thanks again everyone.

She's about the same, eating a little but it's got to be really doctored up with roast beef, turkey breast and/or cheese.   I normally don't want her eating so much stuff from the deli, but at this point I can't worry about it.  I tried to get the best stuff they had so at least it's something.

She's pooping fine and she went pet sitting with me this morning and was fine.  So, tomorrow I'll call the vet and we'll figure out the next step.

Thanks again for praying, I know how powerful that can be and she really needs it.  I don't think she can take much more of whatever this is.  She's getting really thin again.  When I got her she was underweight at 37 lbs.  She went up to 46 at her check-up last year and now she's back down to 42 lbs.  She's three pounds underweight, the breed minimum is 45 lbs.

I remember when Ollie did that a few times...... you could count every rib!

I gave her a bath the other day and I was shocked to see how much the fluffy fur makes her look so much bigger.  Right now, she's laying so close to my chair she's almost using the bottom of it as a pillow!  And, snoring!
    • Gold Top Dog
She is snug and secure and happy,,,even if she is not feeling all that well!  Thats to your credit Lori!

Sometimes she snores so loud she wakes herself up, doesn't realize it was herself that she heard and will start growling! [8|]

     Thanks Diane!

I don't put much stock in scales -- they can worry me too much.  But my dogs will go up and down too -- Billy's about the "slenderest" he's ever been with me and I'm rejoicing.  That means the thyroid stuff is finally HELPING and I can get him to look better instead of starving him because he looked too chubby.

A happy sleeping dog is a wonderful thing, Lori

Lori, I just saw this, but you all have been in my thoughts since you mentioned it. Best wishes for getting it figured out and fixed soon!

I just wanted to let everyone know the thoughts and prayers are helping.  She woke me up ready to play this morning (something she hasn't done in awhile).  She decided she wanted to start eating again at 2AM!  And, she's been eating her meals today too!  I'm relieved!  Now, we can hopefully start the testing to help us figure out why she goes thru this every so often.  They wanted her to be feeling OK and eating before they did any more tests.  So, probably this weekend we'll be going.

    THANK YOU ALL!
