• Prayers needed for a friend Laurelin_429 Posted : 6/29/2007 3:39:50 PM On Wednesday night a friend of mine who is involved in dog showing and papillons (In fact, she's the one responsible for me having papillons) was involved in an accident.   Whe was setting up to do obedience with her dogs at the OKC Classic dog show when she was hit by a van while walking in a cross walk.  A mutual friend (our dogs' breeders) took all three of her papillons and her pomeranian and are housing them.  She's been in the hospital and cannot remember anything.  She had massive head trauma and was not supposed to make it through the first night.  Seh's a tiny elderly woman with no kids and no siblings so she's basically all alone.  Her family is her dogs and the show people.  She's a wonderful person who spent all her life training dogs, teaching obedience, and rescuing dogs.  Please pray for her to recover.  I'm just so shocked that this could happen to her.  Please keep her in your thoughts.  LIKE 16 REPLIES 1572 VIEWS LAST POST SPIRITDOGS Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Laurelin_429 Posted : 7/25/2007 11:20:02 AM Just an update.  She's doing well now.  She's being moved to a nursing home in a few days.  She can sit up and do many things now.  she's not supposed to walk, but she's getting in trouble for getting out of her bed.  It may still be a while before she can care for one let alone four dogs though.  I visited her dogs and they're all doing wonderfully.  Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers and keep praying for further recovery. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
