• cyclefiend2000 Posted : 6/18/2007 8:45:59 AM thanks all! i just talked with the vet. emma is acting more like a regular puppy now. he said she has been barking and howling and jumping up on the cage door. best of all she isnt vomitting anymore. her poops are still a little runny but no blood in them. she is eating and holding down her food. the only thing he is still concerned about is that she isnt going after the food when they put it down. she will let it sit around for a bit and eventually eat it all. he wanted to observe her for the rest of the day, but i am supposed to pick her up after work. hopefully, we are over all this and can get on with raising a puppy. • cyclefiend2000 Posted : 6/19/2007 9:15:41 AM i picked her up from the vets yesterday evening. she slept a good part of the evening. i dont think she likes the i/d they sent home with her. she acted hungry and we put a little in a bowl. she sniffed it but that was all. i made a little beef broth and put over... that was the trick! she scarfed it down. held it all down too. this morning my wife did the same thing and put a little kibble in with it. when i left she had still held it all down. actually, when i got up and let her out of her crate, she ate a little bit of the food amelia had left in her bowl. it may still be a few more days, but i think the puppyness is returning to her! thanks again everyone! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • cyclefiend2000 Posted : 6/19/2007 10:28:41 PM thanks everyone. she still has a long way to go. she is extremely malnourished (which was only made worse by the parvo). her appetite isnt back 100% yet. the good news for today is that she had a solid poop! she is so cute though. right now, my wife is asleep on the couch and emma is laying on her chest asleep as well. i'd take a pic, but my wife would kill me!
