Thanks a bunch for the well wishes. I really really appreciate it.
Just got off the phone with Kathryn. (the breeder) She called Don (the stud's owner) and they've both looked at each side of the pedigree three generations and found nothing. Don's getting in touch with Chie in Japan I think and they're both looking through all uncles, aunts, and cousins for any signs. Neither has produced an epileptic dog before and both are taking this very seriously, which I am extremely greatful for. Kathryn is offering us another dog from her next litter if worst comes to worst, but we told her we didn't want to think about that right now at all... Kathryn is keping us updated on the pedigree scouring and we're keeping them updated on the vet's findings.
Our vet, Tracy who is a friend and has papillons, is working with the 24 hour emergency vet. She wants to take him off of the medication to see if he relapses, so that's what's being done tonight. He's under watch 24/7. If it re-occurs then it's most likely it is something he'll need to be medicated for for his whole life. She thinks it might be a version of juvenille epilepsy only it's very odd there is not a case known in the line. She's got a friend of hers that is an equine vet that could get an MRI done on him (they treat small animals too) for a cheaper price than the $1200 estimated. There's a lot of people working to help us with our little boy.
Just wanted to let you all know we're doing eveything possible for him.
