Thank you Callie!
Cathy,,,PLEASE don't think anyone thinks your piping in like a know-it-all! I am looking for help, information and good words...so thank you for piping in!!!
Just before I came here I went into SEARCH and your right about the fact that a fever in the first 48 hours is usually not a worry. The website I read (from Cleveland Clinic) said the percentage of fevers in the first few days was something really high,,,and they don't require anything but observation at that time. Fevers starting 4 or 5 days,,, are more likely to be infection, and have to be investigated.
Feeling a bit better about it. Need to get some sleep tonight,,, I am having a relapse of my cold/flu bug or what ever it is that has had me since Jan 2, so I'm glad that I feel not as worrysome about the fever thing....
Thanks for the report on your friend also Cathy. DH didn't say he felt anything but warm...but also the room was warm and even the man in the next bed had ice on his head last night I guess. The nurse turned the heat down in the room while I was there,,,,,it was set at about 5 degrees warmer than we set ours.
