Things not looking good!

Dyan, I'm just seeing this thread  and I'm hoping that today the news is better for Jerry, that they've stabilized his BP and heart rate.  It's a good thing he was taken to the hospital -- it sounds like time was of the highest importance with vital signs like that.  Sending good wishes and vibes your way; please pass them along to everyone in your family.

Unfortunately, Jerry did not make it...I guess we knew that he couldn't, he was just too sick. He passed away around 12 last night. My sister had spent the day with him, at the hospital..she was also with Jerrys sister, and few of his relatives.  She came home around 8:30 to rest, take a shower and take care of herself. She then got a call from the doctor telling her that Jerry was declining rapidly. She and his sister went back and he passed right after they got there...he held on for them it seems.  I wish I had better news, I thank you all for your support and love.
My sister married Jerry probably about 15 years to so ago. It was her second marrage.  Jerry was such a good guy,,,I loved him dearly. I am happy that a few years ago Jerry, Eunice, DH and I went on a 15 day trip to Hawaii...what a wonderful time we had, I can remember almost every day!  I'm so happy we all did that.
Today starts DHs preparation for his back surgery on the 30. He has 3 different appointments this week...today is the first, for a general physical for surgery. He has another appt this week on Wed. where we both have to be there to get all the information that we need about perparation for surgery and after care.   Another appointment this week to get a body brace made up.    He has a lot of appointments from here on in until we get to that surgery date.

Cathy, I remember you telling me about your friend, I hope it is just a slow recovery and not more problems.  A client at work had surgery on hers a while back,,,it had been quite a long time before that but can't remember the time as of now..but she said that it has taken a long time to get her feeling back in her leg or foot,,that it still is not back but little by little it is improving.  I hope that will be the same for your friend.

Awww Dyan, I was hoping to hear some better news.  I'm so very sorry to hear about Jerry's passing.  It sounds like he was indeed very ill.  It was good that your sister was able to make it back in time to be with him in the end.  I know how heavy that kind of thing can weigh on you for a long time.  My thoughts are with you and all of your family at this time and I will pray for your husband's surgery to go smoothly and the recovery to go well.

Oh, Dy, I am so sorry about Jerry. I'm sorry, I was asking about DH's surgery, I thought by the 30th you meant Dec. and I thought it was all over.

Oh Dyan, I am so truely sorry for your families loss.
I will lite a candle and pray that you all can find peace and comfort.
I will also be praying very hard and ask God to take care of you and DH during this trying time. Be strong My Friend, things are going to be okay.

I have a wonderful picture of Jerry in my computer,,it was taken on Thanksgiving,,,he was holding Briana,,, my sons Chi,,, it was such a good picture,,Bri just loved him and slept on his belly,,,,,,I want to size it down and post it for you guys to see. Tonight I am going to print it out to take to my sister!
 

Dyan, I'm so sorry to read this sad news.  What a terrible start to the New Year for your sister and family.  I was thinking of you today -- I happened to thumb through an Oprah magazine, and there was a full-page ad for Cleveland Clinic.  I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it -- I didn't realize it was voted top in the country for cardiac issues.  When I saw the ad, I was thinking, "I hope Dyan's BIL gets there."  I'm sorry to hear Jerry lost the battle so quickly.  My condolences to everyone in your family at this sad time.  Sending hugs your way -- take care.

Oh Hon, I'm so sorry.  I've been a bit out of the loop the last couple days and this sure wasn't news we wanted to hear.
