    Prayers and good thoughts needed

Dang it.. I just typed this whole thing out, hit submit and it told me I was timed out and I had been logged out!!!

I'm not in the mood to type all that again, but the recap is I need some prayers for a meeting I am having tomorrow morning.

I was approached this morning by a real estate agent hired by an investment firm who wants my property. She mentioned this morning that she can easily get me $10,000 profit. I talked to my agent and she wants to ask for $20,000 profit.

The firms agent is coming tomorrow with some figures for me to look over. Now my job is to not act as excited as I actually am abuot the prospect of unloading this MONEY PIT and getting out of here.

I'll have a hard time selling it to a person who would actually live here since after I bought it construction started next door.. there is now a supermarket and a hardware store over there and current construction on 3 more stores. They want my property, they know they can't have the stuff across the street since it's HUD houses and even if they get my neighbor on the other side of me, it's no good without me selling!!!

I'm not trying to get rich out of it, but I have to cover my mortgage, cover closing costs, etc on a new house and some other debts.. not to mention the fact I have to uproot all of us again. I've only lived here since May of last year.

Happy thoughts are needed!! I need this to happen. I have been in a hate hate relationship with this house since the day I moved in. I want to make a fresh start.

I really hope all goes well for you tomorrow and hold out for the big bucks. If they want it bad enough and you hold out a little, I'm sure you'll get a better pay out. They have to realize that you will have to uproot and start house hunting again.

Lots of luck and house selling prayers coming to you.

Well, the woman came yesterday and I have the papers here. I have until 5 tomorrow to sign them. The deal is written up that after they cover the amount I have left to pay off on the house.. that no matter what I walk out of it with a check for $10,000 and they pay all closing costs and taxes, etc. Plus I can stay here as long as I need to (paying rent) while I look for another house.

I have my reasons for accepting the offer as it is and not holding out for more money. One, the property and house are not worth it and they know it. The value of the houses have went down in the last year due to the commercial buildings they have put up. They know what the property appraised at last year when I bought it.

Also, the way I look at it is God made this happen for me and who am I to say the blessings he provided of $10,000 and a chance to move out of this house aren't good enough and I want more?

And I'm getting $10,000 for doing nothing! I lived in this house less than a year and have made no improvements on it at all. If anything, it's worse since I moved in because the roof started leaking a couple weeks ago, there have been some electrical issues, the fence blew down and the floor is starting to collapse after my cats chewed some hoses from the fish tank and gallons and gallons of water poured on the floor on more than one occassion.

Not to mention, the basement is starting to leak through the windows downstairs. I don't have the money to replace them right now. There are other things that need to be done. I am about to start immunosuppressive therapy for my eye disease. I am already on steroids that lower my immune system. This is going to make me more susceptible(sp?) to getting sick and the mold issues in the wet basement and other things that may come up if I start the work on the house are not healthy for me. The previous owners left like 6 non working appliances, furniture, tubs of oil, etc. in the garage and basement I would have to take care of this summer. Not to mention last year when digging up spaces for my garden I found they buried trash outside too.

Plus there is the issue that my neighbor's fence is about 3 or 4 feet onto my property and now I am not the one who will have to fight with him to move it.. they will make him!!! LOL!! That's reason enough to make me move! I'm going to stand and dance in the yard when they bulldoze this house and he realizes he is going to have to deal with them now![:D]

So, this house has been one dissapointment after another for me. I literally purchased the money pit. It was more than irony that the first night I moved here I popped that movie in to have on in the background while I unpacked.. and I couldn't help but laugh that as I put a light bulb into a light fixture the whole thing fell off on my head.

It will not be with sadness that I leave this place, but with the hopes of a fresh start and new beginnings.

I'm glad things are working out well for you!  That does sound like a money mongler...may I suggest hiring a home inspector before buying another house?  They will be able to tell you exactly what work might need to be done before you decide to buy it.

Funny thing is I did have a home inspection done. A lot of stuff popped up after that, or was nicely hid behind furniture, etc. Plus when we came for the inspection, they had 5 adults and some kids running around the house. It was hard to do a thorough inspection and neither me, the inspector, or my agent spoke Spanish so we couldn't get them to understand we really preferred they leave for the inspection.

Wow, Trish, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I've got so many good vibes FLYING in your direction.  You sure could use them.  If I were closer I'd love to help you with the house.  I'm good @ stuff like that.  Since I'm not, I'll just send good vibes for this to be a smooth transaction & you find a MUCH better place.
