    Please Pray for Missing Dog

My nephew left his dog Tyson (a super friendly 4 yr old Brindle pit bull) in the car yesterday while he went into the post office.  5 minutes later, when he returned, the dog was gone!
Posters have been put up, a notice will go in the paper tomorrow, shelters and area animal controls have been notified.
Please say a prayer that Tyson will return to TJ safe and sound.  TJ is devastated!
    Thanks in advance.

Angela, if the dog was microchiped, call the company and activate the chip.
Post flyers every place you can think of and including inside the restrooms stalls. Go see for yourself at the ACC pound daily to see if the dog is there. Also beware of scamers who stole the dog and then will return it for a reward. I hope there was a police report made on the dog being stolen. If not, do so quickly.

Good vibes for Tyson's safe return!

Tyson has been returned home!  Pretty fishy story as to how the person supposedly "found" him, but TJ is just ecstatic to have him back.
He was returned with bite marks on his face and front legs, so we can guess what may have happened.  He returned very timid...cowering at every sudden sound, but appears to be getting back to normal.
I know he will never be left unattended in a car again, EVER!
    Thanks for the good thoughts!

I am so glad that Tyson is home safe and sound. It still amazes me how sick people in this world are, to steal a dog from someones car and do the unmentionable with it.
    Grrrrrrrrrrr

I got to this thread late - I'm so glad the happy ending is part of my initial reading!  How awful to think someone would steal him for fighting purposes.  I loved taking our dog with me on errands in the car, but I used to worry about him if I was gone more than a few minutes.  You'd think people would be afraid to break into a car with a dog in it and risk being bitten, but those kind of people don't exactly use logical thinking. I'm so relieved that the poor pup is home and I hope he doesn't have any lasting effects.  That's one of those times I wish dogs could talk.  Imagine what kind of frightening story he'd tell.  Poor sweet boy!

    Angela,

I'm sure glad Tyson was returned and hope he's OK emotionally. Don't feel bad, I once left the car unlocked with a Belgian Malinois in it thinking no one in their right mind would be foolish enough to attempt theft, but if I dropped dead while on my short errand, someone would be able to get the dog out.  I was very lucky and only got my CD's stolen.
