Prayers for Panther

    Prayers for Panther

I was hoping everyone would pray for a quick recovery for my 12 year old kitty, Panther.

Last night she was lethargic, dehydrated, and running a fever of 104F. She's also lost a bit of weight and not eating or drinking. We took her to the vet last night where they gave her fluids, antibiotics, and ran a full blood panel with a thyroid and leukemia test as well. The blood panel and thyroid came back normal, with only a sightly lowered red blood cell count and the leukemia test came back negative. At this point, the vet said we have a fever of unknown origin and he suspects that it's from our new ferret addition (the stress). I'm taking her back in today at 2:15.

I can't get her to eat or drink anything on her own, although I have force fed her a little bit of canned food. They said at the vets that I should give her anything that she eat... and I have yet to find anything. She's also still lethargic/tired.

I feel aweful that I'll have to leave her alone today for about 3 hours as I'm just starting a new class today at school [:(]... but my mom and dad think she's okay... just tired from the fever and stress of last night's trip to the vet.

So I was hoping that everyone would pray for a speedy recovery for her.

    Thanks,
    Becky

Sending healing thoughts and prayers that Panther is feeling better today.  It's so frustrating when they won't eat or drink.  Have you tried canned tuna?  I had a cat who went thru something like this and tuna helped a little bit.

    How is Panther today??

I've never had a kitty, so I don't have anything helpful to suggest.  But, I'm sending Panther lots of good thoughts and vibes -- and several scratches under the chin.  Eat a little something Panther, and build up your strength!
