She is settling in nicely at the nursing home and get this one, she knows her roommate!!  So, I don't think it's going to be too bad for her.  But, please everyone continue to pray that this treatment works and no surgery is needed.

Lori, what's the news on your grandma?

Lori, I am glad to hear that Gramma is doing better and has a friend with her.
I will continue to keep her in my prayers that she has a full and speedy recovery.

Oh, thanks for asking! 

She's doing pretty good so far.  They cut back the antibiotic because her system wasn't clearing it fast enough. So, the timing now is she's getting it every 18 hrs and they are waking her up in the middle of the night to do it.  So, she's not thrilled with that.  And, they will be doing it for six weeks. 

The lady she was sharing the room with, the one she knew, had to be moved.  She was sleeping a lot my grandmother said and then within a few days they said she had developed an infection.  So, for now, she's alone in the room. 

I talked to her last night and she had gone outside during the day.  She complained about the food, of course.  It's her life being Italian, LOL!  And, she had been on the phone with her best friend, my mom and me all night while watching Emeril.  She said if I wanted to I could go take the ice cream she's got in her freezer.  HA, I'm on to her, she doesn't want my mother to find it since she's not supposed to have it! 

We are off next week so we are going to go spring her and take her to lunch.

I'm so glad to hear good things about your grandma, Lori.  I hope she keeps complaining about the food and I hope you got the ice cream out of the freezer before your mom found out! []  She'll definitely enjoy being taken out for good food!

Oh, thanks for asking.  She's still holding her own.  I'll visit her this week.  Thanks so much for the prayers.  She used to go to church every week with either her friends or my mom.  Now, within the past year or so she isn't driving anymore.  A priest did visit her in the hospital though.  Anyway, I'm sure she's going to appreciate the prayers when I tell her.

Lori, I just saw this, I' m glad your grandmother is doing better. I will keep praying too.

Lori, maybe you could pint all of this off and give it to her. She can read it when she is feeling blue and also have some laughs with you's sports fans.

Thank you all so much.  DH and I are visiting tomorrow (hopefully, the work schedules will allow it) and I'll bring this to her.  She'll be amazed, the internet does that to her, LOL!  But, one day, before this happened, she was standing over my shoulder while I was playing a card game on the computer and she was pointing out moves to me that I didn't even notice!
