Prayers for a friend

    Prayers for a friend

If you could please keep my friend "Linda" and her family in your thoughts and prayers.   Linda lost her husband last night after a very long illness.  She knew the end was coming, he made the decision a few days ago to not do dialysis anymore after being told Saturday that there was nothing they could do and it was just a matter of time.

My friend has not only been a wife but also a caregiver for several years.   The next several days will be busy, lots of family will be around but when they all go home she will be faced with the "What do I do now" question.  This is when she will need the most support.  As many of you know when you are a caregiver, human or furr baby, when they are no longer there not only do you mourn the loss but also your life is drastically changed.   The caregiver routine is gone...you dont know what to do with the time...you find yourself lost.

Please keep Linda in your prayers we all know how strong those Idog vibe are.

Sending tons of healing vibes for Linda. Even though it was expected, that is terrible news and hard for somebody to go through

This is SO true! The guilt I experienced when I felt relieved/"happy" at not having to get up every 2 hours, etc. surprised me. I wasn't ready for that. Many prayers and hugs for Linda as she goes through her hours and days.

One of my neighbors was in this situation; he had taken care of his wife for two years. After she passed, it took six months for him to begin to feel normal again. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Sending healing thoughts for your friend, especially for that time, as you've said, when everyone has gone and she finds that her whole life has changed. So close to the Holidays too.

Thanks everyone.  Our friend called the house a few times yesterday...didnt stay on long. Ron said she didnt say much.  I told him she probably just needed to hear a voice that wasnt grieving like the rest of the family. :(
