Pink for Hannah

    Pink for Hannah

I'm probably late posting this but wanted to share it anyway. Tomorrow is Hannah's funeral and this post is from her mom -

Whatever your religious beliefs, please keep our sweet Hannah in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow as we lay her down to rest.

Please wear pink tomorrow in her honor.

I will wear pink tomorrow! Sorry for my utter ignorance earlier. I was not paying attention to what I was posting! What a heart breaking story! Best wishes to the family!

My heart still breaks for that family.  *sigh*   I've got my "pink" all set out.

Pink it is. My heart just breaks for Hannah's family and friends.

I did not see this until I got to work this morning.  There are some pink stripes on my shirt; I hope that helps.

I didn't see this till I got to work but  my tee shirt has a big pink daisy on it.  Rest in peace, Hannah.  I can't imagine what a difficult day this will be for her family.  Continued good thoughts and prayers for little Owen.

I didnt see this either, But I have a pink stress ball on my desk with a big happy face and it will remind me to think of Hannah and the family.  Prayers for this family today and the months ahead as they deal with their loss and with Owen's progress.

These folks live in Palm Bay  and I've seen numerous news articles on them -- they're flying into Palm Bay just for a few hours to attend Hannah's funeral and then have to go back to Tennessee because the little boy is still up there.  The family is staying at a Ronald McDonald house up there

This is in the news today about it:

    http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20110721/NEWS01/107210313/1006/rss01/In-an-instant-holiday-turns-into-tragedy-Palm-Bay-family

Somehow, knowing their connection to Cathy, I feel more connected I guess.  It never ceases to amaze me how this weird "connection" we all have just via a dog board on an internet so easily makes us a part of things like this that would otherwise just be a story on the news.  Suddenly they're friends of Cathy's daughter ... you know ... "friends of a friend"??

Just one more thing to make the world yet again, a littlel bit smaller.

Thanks for sharing that Callie.  Your so right about connections, as was mentioned yesterday in another thread like "family". I count myself lucky to be a part of this wonderful family.   Candle is lit,   thinking about the Johnson family tho many miles away, still close in my heart.

CATHY!  I just got chills.  I'm reading this for the first time right now.  I am wearing pink already!

Rest in peace Hannah.  Peace to the family.

Rest easy, Hannah. Hoping for a strong recovery for the remaining family members.
