Any thoughts or prayers are needed

I know I posted on FB for prayers for my Nona, which I am so thankful for you guys.  I will let you guys know what has happened.

My Nona (grandmother) fell Sunday late evening and hit her head.  She lives in an assisted living facility with her own suite, they don't usually check in, but because she had fallen several times on Sunday, they looked in on her.  She was found bleeding from the back of her head in her bathroom, and unresponsive.  They had to use the defibulator on her, and thankfully it worked.  Sunday night she was put on life support.  I found this out midnight Sunday night.  First thing Monday morning, Derek and I went to the hospital to see her, she was breathing on her own, so they removed the life support.  She had 5 big staples on the back of her head.  She knew who i was, perked up a bit, talked a little bit and had something small to eat around lunch time.  The doctor said that her arteries in her neck are 99% clogged, and that could be the cause for her falling, almost at mini strokes, but not effecting the brain.

My parents went to see her Monday evening and I think her medication wore off, she has dementia, and she was struggling, trying to get up, and not lucid.  But my mom said that she was improving.  Yesterday afternoon, my mom heard from my uncle, she seemed to be doing well, and was talking and eating.

Last evening/night, she went into cardiac arrest.  But they got her back.  She is a fighter, but I worry so much how this is all progressing.  She seems to take a step forward, then two steps back.  My Nona and I are very very close, I pretty much lived with her all through the summer time every year I was in school, she is the only grandparent I really have.

Any thoughts of prayers that could be sent her way would be so appreciated.

Absolutely hon.  Good thots, healthy vibes, tons of prayers for Nona.

The clogged artery CAN be cleaned out.  The dementia may simply be related to the artery or her health at the moment.  My Mom's dementia cleared up pretty much as she recovered.  She's not 100% but at least 98.

We will send Nona "keep fighting" vibes as well.

    ((((hugs))))
